*TW*

Grace tucks herself into her new queen sized bed.
It is her first night in her new house, she had just gone through a bad brake up. This is a first start.
Grace hasn't emptied all of the boxes yet because she was tired plus she has not got scheduled work, so she doesnt have to wake up at stupid o'clock in the morning.
She closes her eyes and drifts off to sleep.

Suddenly, in the middle of the night she is awoken by a loud smashing noise.
Thinking it is a burglar she grabs the bat placed under her bed.
She has never been burgled, not even when she was a little girl.
Putting her slippers on, bat in right hand and torch in left she creeps downstairs.
"Hello?" She whispers going down the creaky stairs, shinning her light towards the living room.
AThere was no sound in returns, silent. Apart from Graces heavy breathing.
She inhales deeply darting towards the light switch.
*Click*
The living room and kitchen lights come on almost instantly.
Exhaling, she feels embarrassed, nothing's there.
The sound felt like ceramic hitting wood.
It must of come from the kitchen.
She walks over, looking down a white square plate smashed into a dozen pieces, and the cupboard wide open.
How the fuck did this happen, physics may not of been my strong point but I definitely know this is defining the laws of it! Grace thinks.
Thinking of logical ways that this has happened, she sweeps up the mess dropping it into the bin.
As she closes the bin she feels a warn breeze on her neck, like a someone's breathing behind her.
Turning around, nothing.
Freaking out, she sprints upstairs for her phone.
Picking it up, unlocking it.
Going onto her contacts.
Suddenly her phone turns itself off.
Fuck this! I'm out.
She tries to leave her room, only to see her door slam shut with an ear-piercing bang.
"Let me out!" Grace shout banging her hand on the door.
It doesn't budge.
Thinking of another way out she turns towards the window.
Only to find a her bed indented- like someone siting on the edge.
"Please don't kill me!" Grace begins to cry knowing this is how she's going to die.
The indentation suddenly goes away- it has stood up.
Seeing the carpet dip down every step.
"Go away!" The dips stop moving only for a second before they start moving again. It can hear her.
It stops on the other side of the bed.
A box is pulled out from underneath.
Where did that come from Grace has never seen this box in her life.
She reads the top.
OUIJA
"You want me to play?" Grace asks the box moving towards her on the floor.
She sits down crossing her legs.
As she lifts up the lid off the box the dips in the carpet come over- standing opposite.
Taking out the board and planchette the dip in the carpet has gotten bigger.
I'm sitting next to a ghost... Grace thinks placing the planchette on the boards.
"Hello spirit, i am not here to make fun of you, I'm simply here to ask you a few questions. Is that okay?" It takes a second but it moves to yes.
"Okay... are you going to hurt me?" Grace doesn't want to know the answer to this, but she asks anyway.
It moves to no.
Thank fuck for that!
"Thank you! Can you leave this house?"
It quickly goes to no.
"I'm sorry about that."
Grace didn't ask it a question but it's moving over the the letters.
H.A.N.N.A.H.
"Hannah? Is that your name?" She ask.
Yes
"You don't have to answer this Hannah but, if you're a spirit you must of died. How did you die?"
S.U.I.C.I.D.E.
Deep.
"Oh Hannah. Was it in this house that you died? Is that why your stuck here?"
Yes
How cone the estate agent never told me this house was haunted!
"I'm thirty-One. How old are you Hannah?" She asks hoping Hannah isn't a little girl.
30
"How old were you when you died?" Please please don't be young!
17
"Thirteen years, wow. Are you the reason why people move out of this house, where they scared of you?"
Yes
"You let them go... why didn't you let me go?"
L.O.N.E.L.Y.
"Well. If your not going to hurt me, or mess up my life in anyway, shape or form then i will stay.Deal?"
The planchette shoots towards yes.
"Okay. Last question, are you the only spirit in here?" Grace asks
Yes
"Okay, thank you Hannah for clearing the air. I'm really tired so i'm going to bed now. Is that okay?" Grace doesn't want to annoy the her.
Yes
Though as she was about to lift her finger off, it moves again.
S.O.R.R.Y
"What for Hannah?"
Please don't tell me your going to murder me!
P.L.A.T.E.
Phew!
"Hannah that's alright, you just wanted to get my attention, you did a very good job of it as well. It was a cheap plate anyway, I've got more" Grace explains
The planchette gently glides over Goodbye.
Grace puts everything back into the box.
The dip in the carpet get smaller.
Leaving the room Going through the door.
A few seconds later the door opens and her phone turns back on.
"Thank you" Grace says, even though she knows Hannah isn't in the same room.
Gently closing the door then pushes the box under the bed.
Taking her slippers off, getting back into bed.
