When I finally met the eyes of my father's, it was like staring at a dull room with just a chair in the middle. Nothing to ever really look at, but a plain object standing out in the center of the room. My mother, of course, sitting next to him head high and smiling brightly.  Is she the one that holds the family together, or would she ever leave if she had the chance? When will she ever see the only love in the room skirts out in the mansion is because of her. He has no love for her. If anything, the love he has for any is the money that settles around the castle. Maybe, he could even love the fear that sweeps across England as the sadistic king rides past. I always asked myself what is the rush to ever be around the masion, when the only destination is to be standing straight in front of him. The setting around me is so much better than to hear the booming, scruffy voice of Henry.

There on, the walk across the kingdom was delightful to say the least. It was quiet, and the sun was peaking through every window. We basically lived in our own world and the land was all in one territory. Everything is handed down to the royal family was something to say at the far least. The halls were full of art, or some expensive thing found in every corner. Though it was never given a second glace after it was placed there. Why? Henry spends so much time making the castle look like "Heaven on earth", yet he can not even find somewhere inside of him to care for his own family- more importantly his wife. Which is to believe she is his beloved.

With my own thoughts in my head, I was fully compelled to not even recognize that I was standing there in front of him. I felt something in the air change. It took him a few seconds to collect his thoughts, adjust the way he sat, and stared back at me for a good five minutes. His monotonous eyes stared upon me like the guards do to every guest that comes to visit. It was a hole dragging me down deep into no blissful darkness. I could feel him inspecting every move I made, cloth that was on me, and body parts that was attached to me. I was preparing myself for him to inform me that he had found me a wife, and was ready for me to be betrothed.

"Alexander Shane Williams... Come here son!" He stood up with arms wide open, smiling down at me. Wait, did I just see this man smile? I could feel something was going on, but I never thought it would be a change in humanity starting with my bastard father. I slowly began to walk up and hug the man in front of me awkwardly before stepping away and looking at both him and Kathrine.

"Today is the day you become an adult. This is the moment in life that you been waiting for. All that you learned is finally paying off!" There again, thoughts rushed inside my mind. Was I not an adult at the age eighteen, or  if I even let some years slide and say twenty-one? This man life is so surrounded by him, I guess he forgot.

His dull eyes had a glimpse of shining gleam to them, but I can not be fooled. For even a fire defeats darkness. All that was said made me anxious inside. Like there was some catch that is in end, will stab me in the back later.

"Today we are setting off to our own adventure. Of course there will be many people guarding the carriage on our voyage, but that is no problem. On your birthday, we will meet a land where your grandfather lives. Langston, England to be exact son. It will take a little over a day, but we expect no later than two days. We may call it a family trip of some sort. It will show you how a king is to be treated, how people should act in your presents, and more importantly how things should be ran. It is a new day for everyone, especially you. Now I sent maids to start packing for you after you came down. There, you and your mother will eventually go to the market and buy some things she said you needed." He looked over to his wife and smiled. She looked back at him brightly and nodded, "Yes. I see you in the same clothes everyday, and now that you are almost becoming king you need something that is more modern and fitting. You are a grown man."
