Mia POV

“Hey Mia, where are you?” my best friend Jen asked

“In my room” I shouted back, pushing my long, wavy dark brown hair out of my eyes.

“Morning!” Jen sung as she hopped in to my room, her blue eyes glinting and straight, shoulder length blonde hair bouncing.

“Ergh what are you so happy for?”

“My lovely, wonderful and amazing parents have decided to allow me to go to beautiful Minnesota, Minneapolis with my gorgeous best friend to play some brilliant ice hockey.”

“Yes! When are you coming out?”

“That’s the thing I’m not coming out until school starts, sadly.”

“Okay I will miss you but I gotta go out to LA tomorrow so I won’t see you until school starts.”

 “Why?”

“Dad’s at the junior goodwill games and ran into a bit of trouble says he needs my help with the Ducks but on the bright side I can get back on my surf board.”

“Cool so let’s go shopping!”

I stumbled into my room my arms aching under the weight of the shopping bags, wow that girl could shop and I had to fit it all in my case, I sighed and opened my case. I started switch stuff from the bags to my case and quickly realised I needed another case. When I had finally finished packing, I was taking two large suitcases for three months; I changed into my pyjamas, a pair of shorts and my old hockey jersey, and slipped into bed.

My alarm broke my peaceful slumber in the morning; I reached over and turned off as I climbed out of bed. I put on a pair of light blue skinny jeans, purple super dry top, black hoodie and white Nike air forces. I put on some foundation, clear lip gloss with black mascara and eyeliner to frame my bright green eyes. I grabbed my bag and cases and met Lewis, my Dad’s old driver, outside to get to the airport.

I left baggage reclaim with my cases on a trolley at LAX and saw my Dad, Gordon Bombay, waiting for me, I ran up and hugged him.

“So Daddy what’s the problem” I asked in the car on the way to his house.

“I was a jerk and got distracted by the money and now the Ducks are struggling in their game and I can’t coach them back by myself so I have called in you and Jan to help” he replied with a look of worry, Ducks always come first , I thought angrily.

“Cool so who am I working with?”

“Our goalkeepers and scorers and maybe a bit with the bash brothers”

“Okay so when do I begin”

“I want to have a meeting where I will apologise tomorrow afternoon at 1pm”

“Okay then I’ll be there”

“Here we are, home sweet home. The Ducks are moving in soon though so pick your room while you still can” Great, the Ducks are moving in just what I want. Suddenly Dad cut off the engine I guess we were ‘home’, I looked up to see a mansion and best off all it was literally on the beach so I could at least go out surfing. I jumped out the car and ran to give Jan a hug; him and his brother were like Grandfathers to me and are always there for me. After I had greeted Jan and we had all caught up in the kitchen I went to unpack and pick a room. The room I picked was large with a double bed in the centre, a desk and makeup table with mirror, a couch and TV; it had a door leading through to an ensuite, a door leading to a walk in closet and double French doors leading out to a balcony looking over the beach and I could easily climb down it so I can go surfing whenever I want. After I unpacked I changed into a pair of boxer shorts and a tank top and slipped under the covers and was asleep in seconds.
