The part where my wife got merked

So here's a little backstory,,

The main character (my wife) has poisonous skin so she goes on a journey with a whole bunch of people to try and fix it ok. Mid game, she realizes that she doesn't wanna hurt her friends so she follows the most suspicious one of them all (my husband) to a "hideout" where the guys reveals that oh no I'm going to kill you cause I'm bad but won't say why. -mysterious-

Ok so flashback to poisonous skin
It can melt through everything even titanium for convenience of plot
And so apparently my wife is wearing a turtleneck cause her clothes are unburnable
Cause their scientist friend soaked it in some weird thing that neutralizes the poison and so

MC resists against my husband killing her with some fancy knife soaked in some numbing thing. My husband then proceeds to choke her for reasons I do not know, as I paused to write this while still in the middle of the scene,,,,,,

So that means there are two possibilities
My wife is wearing a turtleneck
Or OP husband soaking his gloves in the poison neutralizing thing

Probably the second one cause they wouldn't make the main character wear a turtleneck and my husband apparently is not "a normal human" cause he's in some weird secret organization with super powers or something so he's absolutely strong/smart enough to do that. If he wasn't an evil guy the game would be over from the first time you meet the guy cause he's tooooooo smart.
