Maira and Kallane walked through the streets of Corpus city. They came to a large building near the center of the city, Republic troops nodded to them as they passed. They entered the building to see multiple Republic technicians running about.

The pair walked up to a man in heavy looking Republic armour. A smile stretched across his face. He bore many scars, one large scar cutting through his left eye leaving it blind. His gruff face told the stories of many battles and his scruff, tales of weathering many storms.

"Well if it isn't the Hero of Tython! How have you been old friend?" The soldiers voice sounded like gravel.

"Lieutenant Crom. I see the war hasn't changed you at all," a smile formed on Kallane's face. He approached his old friend and shook his hand.

"Is it me or have you found a sense of humor?" He laughed as the two began to walk towards a holoterminal. "I'm guessing this is your new padawan?" He motioned to Maira. Kallane nodded as Crom shook her hand.

"A pleasure to meet you Lieutenant," Maira also noticed that Crom was missing half his left ear. He seemed to notice her stare and laughed.

"A gift from a Sith I met back when me and your master first met," Kallane smirked.

"Ah, I remember I had to save you from the Sith before you lost the rest of it," Kallane began looking over the holoterminal and the information on it.

"I know your here for that Imperial agent. Basically we tracked him down at an old abandoned Imperial base, back from the time during their last main invasion. Sadly we haven't had any information on him after that. He just disappeared," Crom studied the projection in the terminal. A picture of the base appeared. "We tried sending men down there but the fight against the Empire and our plot to finally get them off Balmorra for good is keeping us from trying."

"That's why we are here," Kallane enlarged the projection. "It looks to be in decent condition. Obviously someone has been mentioning it. Guess we should go take a look."

" Your planning on walking through the front door?" Crom asked already knowing the answer.

"Let's go Maira," Kallane and Maira left the compound and began the trek to the base.

As the pair walked along the broken path, Maira allowed her mind to wonder. She remembered her training on Tython. Growing up and raised to the Jedi teachings. Always wanting to become more than a initiate. Now she is a padawan and is being trained by a legend. Whether he admits to it or not.

Her master seemed to dislike being acknowledge for his acts and rarely talks about his victories as a Jedi Knight. He would much rather lecture her or discuss how she should allow the Force to guide her actions.

Her thoughts quickly returned to the present as blaster fire flew past them. She quickly ignited her lightsabers. Twin purple blades hummed to life, ready for combat.

Kallane ignited his lightsaber as well. A white blade burst to life. Kallane was one of the few Jedi to wield a white saber. He claims it is to symbolize his connection to the Force.

The pair stood back to back, ready for conflict as group of droids began shooting at them. Master and padawan began deflecting the bolts with great accuracy, each blast taking out a droid. Kallane quickly dashed towards a group of three and with one quick slash decapitating each of them.

Not wanting to be shown up Maira jumped at two other droids. Hacking one to pieces and force pushing he other into a nearby boulder. Without missing a beat the pair regained a defensive position near each other and quickly dispatched the last if the droids.

After a quick examination of the droids remains, they discovered that they were reprogrammed Imperial droids.

"Well, whoever sent these droids don't want us to get to the base. Better stay on our guard," Kallane told his padawan who nodded in response. They continued along the path.

The base was not as big as they expected. There could only be a few rooms inside at most.

Kallane and Maira examined the main entrance. The control panel had been shot and the doors were gone.

"Well," Kallane murmured "Already we don't have to break in" With that they walked in.

They came into a large room that looked to be a control center. Broken computers and a torn up holoterminal where in the center of the room. The rest of the room was littered with broken droids and scattered machinery.

As Maira stepped into the room her foot sank into the floor.

"Maira!"

But his voice was silenced by an explosion that erupted around them.
