"No need to worry, you are quite safe. Yes, you can speak. Ask away." The woman's hands were thrown into the air. She sighed, pacing the room, eyeing the confusion on their faces and the fear in their eyes. One was smiling, but she was looking around the room, as if expecting someone to jump out and stab her. Mackenzie, she recalled. That must be was her name. "Well?" She snapped, letting impatience get the best of her.
"Why are we here?" A blonde girl asked, drumming her fingers against the desk. She was the only one who had kept eye contact with her, obviously a fighter. Her eyes narrowed and asked, "Well? Are you gonna answer me or not?" The woman simply responded with, "All of you posses something known as mundane magic. It comes in many forms, and the gift is not always as strong as it is in you all. We merely wish to recruit you to help keep something safe. The mundane magic of other people to be exact."
"Hmph." The blonde grunted, not buying whatever that woman was saying. "Oh yeah, and fairies are floating around. Why are we really here?" She rolled her eyes and shook her head muttering, "Mundane magic my ass..." followed by some other words.

"Stop worrying Lolli, it'll be fine. It has to be." An unknown voice laughed. Their airy voice carried throughout the room. "If you say so..." 'Lolli' replied.

Hey guys! This is my first original fiction work on WP. I'll try to update at least once a week, usually on Friday. Feel free to correct my grammar, critic my work, all that good stuff. The chapters will have at least 300-500 words, not including the little blurbs I write here.

Peace Out!
