"I should get going. It's already past 1 am," I say looking at the clock for the first time that night.

"You don't have to. You said your parents wouldn't be home until morning," he almost whispers.

"It wouldn't be smart to be out all night," I say lowly.

"You can leave first thing in the morning," he leans in towards me.

"And what if I get home after them?" I say. He stops just inches from my face.

"Say you had to pick something up."

"All the shops will be closed on Christmas."

"Say you needed to borrow something from one of your friends."

"And what I need to borrow?"

"You can think of something."

"You do realize I would be wearing the same thing they saw me in yesterday."

"I can lend you clothes."

"Because me wearing a guys clothing isn't suspicious at all."

"Some people sleep in what they were wearing."

"But I don't."

"God, you are so stubborn."

"I really can't stay," I just he starts leaning in towards me again."

"But baby it's cold outside," Harry sings quietly.

"I've gotta go away," I sing.

"But baby it's cold outside," Harry sings.

"This evening has been," I start.

"Been hoping that you'd drop in," Harry sings.

"So very nice," I sing.

"I'll take your hand, they're just like ice."

"My mother will start to worry."

"Beautiful what's your hurry."

"My father will be pacing the floor."

"Listen to the fireplace roar."

"So really I better scurry."

"Beautiful please don't hurry."

"Maybe just half a drink more."

"Put some records on while I pour."

"The neighbors might think."

"Baby it's bad out there."

"Say what's in the drink."

"No cabs to be had out there."

"I wish I knew how."

"Your eyes are like starlight now."

"To break this spell."

"I'll take your hat, your hair looks swell."

"I ought to say no, no, no."

"Mind if I move in closer?"

"At least I'm gonna say that I tried."

"What's the sense in hurting my pride?"

"I really can't stay."

"Baby don't hold out."

"Ah, but it's cold outside," we both sing.

"I've got to get home," I sing.

"Oh, baby, you'll freeze out there," Harry sings.

"Say, lend me your coat," I sing again.

"It's up to your knees out there," Harry sings.

"You've really been grand."

"Thrill when you touch my hair."

"Why don't you see."

"How can you do this thing to me?"

"There's bound to be talk tomorrow."

"Think of my life long sorrow."

"At least there will be plenty implied."

"If you caught pneumonia and died."

"I really can't stay."

"Get over that hold out."

"Ah, but it's cold outside/ Oh, baby, it's cold outside/ Oh, baby, it's cold outside," we finish in unison.

"Come on. Just stay a little while longer," he begs.

"I'm sorry but I can't," I say getting up. I grab my coat off the recliner "Thanks for an amazing night," I say opening the door.

"No problem," I faintly hear Harry mumble as I walk out the door and close it tightly behind me.
