Hey There

I'm bored.

The world outside is moving at a pace I can't keep up with.

Sitting there, in a cafe, drinking hot chocolate.

All I hear around is chatter. They sound like annoying buzzing bees.

I can hear cars zooming by, trucks honking away. That fire engine wailing its loud siren.

I can't keep up. It's like an advanced math class. If I don't understand, then it gets boring.

I sip my hot chocolate. The warm sensation burning my lips.

I take out my phone. At least I have some kind of entertainment.

The screen lights up. I slide the screen up. Not all phones are touch screen, you know.

I start tapping away, sending a few text messages.

Why so I even bother. All of them are probably doing something while I'm left here sipping hot chocolate.

I look out the window. The rain is drizzling down the glass.

At least the rain is moving at the same pace as me.

Just you and me rain, separated by this glass.
