Twins in the DWMA
Death The Kid (Fanfic)
I stood outside of the heavy doors in wait, nervous and excited at the same time. The first day of school was supposed to be like this, right? I just wished that I came before class had begun. Now, I was waiting for the teacher, Stein Sempai, to give me the okay to interrupt class. I looked down the hallway to find my sister but she was nowhere to be seen. Lazy and tardy—nothing changes with her. I have a huff of a sigh and looked down at my feet.
“Aya Kun,” a bored voice called out. “You may come in now.” Snapping my eyes open and my head up, I gulped. Teacher had his head sticking out of the door and I suddenly lost my voice. This was the first time coming face to face with Stein Sempai and I had to say he looked more like a mad scientist then a teacher of children. When Lord Death told me that I should prepare myself, I didn’t know I should be prepared for a man with his skin stitched together and a bolt protruding from the side of his head.
Stein Sempai looked down the hallway in search for my sister but she was not there. It didn’t seem to bother him; instead, he turned and went back inside the door, leaving it open for myself. I walked into the auditorium and instantly looked at the rows of faces. Scary, I thought as they all sat quiet in their seat.
Then I hear a gasp and searched for the one who said it. A boy in the center section had a smile like he was daydreaming planted onto his face. The two girl seated next to him, both had similar features (although one was obviously older), were watching him warily. I chalked it up to the boy remembering something not important and shrugged. I turned back to the front of the classroom where Stein Sempai was at.
Lazily, Stein Sempai reached a hand up to the bolt on the side of his head. And, to my complete horror, he began to tighten the bolt. With each twist, the bolt gave a sickening click of movement. Simultaneously, the teacher pulled the cig from his mouth and twirled it over his fingers. “Everyone, this is Aya Kuzuke.” And that was it. The class did not respond other then that same boy giving another gasp and then squeal. “You will sit in seat three of row two.”
I raised an eyebrow, thinking that kid was weird.
Then I searched for the seat; going over to row two and in three seats. When I looked to the seat directly behind my own, that weird kid was sitting there with a glassy eyed expression on his face. He looked like he was thinking of something far from reality. Taking the seat, I tried to ignore that weird kid.
But now that I was closer to him, I could hear him speaking softly to himself. “Such beautiful symmetry. Lizz, do you see that. A perfect part on her head, even her eyeliner was perfectly applied…”
“I know, kid. Just breath.” I tensed slightly when I realized that the weird kid behind me might have been talking about me.
“And patty, did you see the way she walked. Her steps were perfectly even in every step… beautiful.” I shrunk slightly into my seat.
Another voice joined in, one answering to patty. “I know!❤ And did you see her shirts design. Perfect, right Kid?”
“Ahuhuh…” the kid sighed and I leant forwards over my desk. Okay, I was pretty darn tooting sure that that kid was in fact talking about me.
Suddenly, I was distracted by my worry with the classroom door being thrown open. “Sorry I’m late, Sempai.” My sister told our teacher with an easy smile on. Then she turned to the class, cool and collected. “Hello,” she bowed slightly. “My name is Anna Kuzuke.”
Stein Sempai, who I though was indifferent to what went on, actually gave a half curl to his lips. And I would not call it a smile. It was more like a gleam of slight interest. “Well, we all knew that it would happen sometime.” A student spoke up next to me. I turned to the blond girl with a frown.
“What happe-“ I began but was cut off by a painful sounding gasp… from someone behind me.
“So….SO SYMMETRICAL!” the black haired kid swooned, standing up from his seat.
“Kid…” one of the girls that sat next to him warned.
“Look at it, perfect in every way. A mirror image of the other.” Lifting a hand, he covered half of my sister’s face and then covered the other side. “One side exactly like the other…” and then his face tilted down. “And exactly like the other.” Hopping over the desk, he landed behind me. Grabbing my wrist, he hauled me up and to the front of the class once more.
“What are you-“ I began while my sister laughed quietly at my predicament. Then, the black haired kid grabbed my sister’s wrist too.
Now, she found it in her to complain about what this kid was doing. “Lemmy go.”
Then, after placing us side by side, the kid stepped back. “It’s so symmetrical. Perfect symmetry in every way. I am not worthy of being in your presence.” He whimpered softly. I think I actually saw tears in his eyes. “It’s so beautiful! You make my world beautiful! And your names. A-y-a and A-n-n-a… I AM NOT WORTHY!” he cried, flinging his arms over my sister and I’s shoulder. Then, he pulled back and rubbed his nose. “Your faces,” he reached out and held both of our jaws. Then, he pushed them together. “PERFECT!” he cried as he squished our cheeks together.
He fiddled with our shirts next, tugging them this and that way. He muttered under his breath about how the clothes wouldn’t work. Then our shoes and how we stood exactly the same. While he was enraptured by our “godly symmetry”, I spoke warily to our teacher. “Urm… Stein Sempai… what’s going on…?”
My sister, though, finding her sense finally, acted. “What in the world are you doing?!” Then she thwacked the black haired kid over the back of his head. He yelped and pulled back.
Stein Sempai, sitting down on his wheelie chair, spun and rolled over to the three of us and our little episode. The teacher just pulled back the kid by his collar without a word of reprimand.
Finally, the kid turned back around to the two of us with one hand of his head and pointed at my sister. “At least make it symmetrical!” he shouted accusingly.
My sister and I stood rooted to our spots with mouths open in shock. Finally, one of the girls that had been sitting next to the kid stood with a disgruntled huff. “Just ignore Kid. He’s slightly neurotic.”
My sister scoffed. “Really?”
“Yeah! ❤“ the other girl, the one with a brighter blond to her hair, spoke. I had a feeling that the two of them were sister.
The girl sighed and walked to the black haired boy. “Kid-“ the dirty blond sighed.
The kid walked back over to my sister and I. “Perfect twins…” he murmured. “I wonder…” and then he reached out a hand to us and placed it on our chests. In that moment, the room went silent and I was shocked frozen. He gave a squeeze and then sighed in content. “I was right! You are twins in every-“
My sister hit him over his head again. “Pervert!” she cried. Finally able to move, I covered my chest with my hands, embarrassed.
Putting a forceful arm around Kid’s neck, the dirty blond dragged the kid away from my sister and I. “No! They are perfect! Let me go Lizz! Let me-”
“How about this, kid, you can worship these two and they symmetry after class, okay?” the dirty blond said.
The kid just had a far off look. “…Ahh… perfect symmetry.”
