I wrote this poem just a few months ago. I'm just a beginner but I hope you'll like it!!

"I need to tell you something" the girl said.
She was sitting there at the side of his hospital bed
"What do you want to say?" the boy replied.
"About saying that I don't like you... I lied."
The boy was surprised, he blinked his eyes
for he found out the real prize
He looked at her, a tear suddenly fell
He just knew the story, she never dared to tell
During that time, they cherished the moment
thinking time should never be wasted
Wishing that they will have no regrets
and hoping it should not have lasted
The girl cried silently with tears
It happened, her most awaited fear
That lovable boy she loved so dear
she thought, "this is it, he's dying here"
The boy said he wanted to sleep
The girl just nodded sadly
As he closed his eyes very slowly
the last thing he heard was a beep
The girl saw an envelope at the side
she went to get it with a curious mind
she opened it and was surprised
It was a letter he decided to write
Dear my girl, I love you so
I hope my feelings here will show
I really just wanted you to know
I could never have let you go
