The start of the end

A boy as old as 17 was alone in a snowy forest cold and scared he didn't know how he got there but that didn't matter what matters is who was watching him from the trees he noticed this and prepared himself the best he could in his state 

???: hello? 

the voice was behind him now when he turned he saw a woman older than him with a white cloak with black and red hair she was slightly transparent 

Y/n: wh-what are you 

???: thats rude i'm a ghost are you gonna ask my name?

Y/n: u-uh

Summer: oh okay then i'm summer rose the one who brung you here 

Y/n: w- why did you do that?

Summer: to train you 

Y/n: to train me for what 

Summer: for the end of course  

[time skip} 

its been awhile since that night those words still linger with me. i have a sword now and her cloak. she made it so i didn't age till her daughter reached my age i don't know why but i just went with it she trained me how to fight grim and survive. i was broken out of my thought my summer as she appeared in front of me 

Summer: somthing small incoming 

i got up drawing my sword to see it come outta the bushes it was a small girl she was unconscious  when i reached her. she looked like Summer with her hair and some facial features 

Summer: oh my lord!

Y/N: what? 

Summer: thats my daughter Ruby she must have gotten lost quick Y/n we have to get her back!

Y/n: okay 

i said picking up the girl

Y/n: which way?

Summer: that way

she said floating leading me there as i ran behind we got to a small wooden house  

Summer: quick she might freeze 

before i got to the door a behemoth of a ursa jumped in front of us causing me to drop ruby she was closer to the door than me the ursa between me and her . getting up i drew my blue sword the skyduster and got into my stance it threw a left claw at me but i jumped over slicing it off as a guy with blond hair one with black and a little blonde haired girl i assumed was the guys daughter 

[ rubys pov]

i slowly woke up to see my dad taiyang uncle Qrow and Yang when i turned my head i saw a figure in a white cloak fighting a ursa 

Ruby: mommy? 

it had my moms cloak but mom did use a sword so it couldn't have been could it?. Then uncle Qrow with the speed of a demon and determination to protect his family rushed over to stab the ursa in the back with his sword allowing the figure to decapitate it its body burning into ash 

Qrow: she alright Tai? 

Tai: yes she'll be fine

Qrow: well thanks kid-

he turned to see no one was there 

Qrow: huh i could have sworn ah never mind 

he said walking back to the others
