The Three Sidekicks - HP

Introduction

"Come on Emily, you're going to miss the train!" My dad called out to me. I was running as fast as my short stubby legs could carry me. I was pushing my cart with all my belongs and tabby cat, Jenna, laying on top. My dad just went through the brick wall as I was fastly approaching behind him. Okay, you can do this Emily. You just got to do it fast. As I was about to go through I noticed the wall shifted slightly but thought nothing of it. As I reached the barrier my cart and belongs crashed and tipped over along with my cat hissing and jumping off. 

"Oh crap!" I exclaimed with my eyes wide opened while panicking silently. 

"I missed my freaking train!" I screeched. 

"God Emily why does this always happen to you" I heard behind me and turned around with a wide smile on my face. I knew who that was. It was my best friend, Asher. We had been friends ever since 1st grade in elementary school. Who knew we would end up being wizards 5 years later.

"You missed it too" I said with a smirk on my face.

"Ya I got that." She said with a roll of her eyes. "Don't act so smug. Now we are both stranded unless we can find a way to get to the freaking train before it reaches Hogwarts."

Oh I had a way.

Chapter One: The Secret Car

Emily's P.O.V.

We walked silently through the train station outside all the way to my Aunt Carmen's house. When we arrived at the rundown pale yellow two story building I walked to the door and knocked three times. My aunt opened the door obviously surprised to see me.

"Emily? What on earth are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be on your way to Hogwarts?" My aunt asked me confused. I looked down and blushed, embarrassed of what had happened already today.

"Urm yes. But uhh we got into a little situation..." 

"Like what?" 

"Errr we missed the train.." I said with my shoulders slumped. I could feel Asher's hand on my shoulder trying to make me feel better but also trying not to burst out laughing. I smiled slightly as I heard a small chuckle come out of her mouth. My aunt stood watching us in the doorway until she started walking back down the hallway. 

"Wait! Aren't you going to help us out?!" I yelled at her. 

"Yes" She said with a smile. "Follow me girls" We followed closely behind her and out into the dusty garage. She turned on the light and moved to the side so we could see what she was looking out. It was a rusted pink mini van with a flattened tire on the right side. What in the world are we going to do with this?! It not like we can just drive to a magical place in the middle of nowhere! 

"And this helps us how?" Asher said to my aunt with a slight attitude in her tone. My aunt shook her head with a sigh. 

"You both have so much to learn about the wizarding world. This is not just a car." It looks like a car. "It's a flying car." Wait. What?! 

"What do you mean it's a flying car!" I said at the same time Asher said "That's awesome!!!" What did she mean that was awesome? It's utterly terrifying! Asher started walking to the van and got into the driver's seat. 

"Get in bestie we're going to Hogwarts!" I reluctantly got into shotgun while the garage door opened. She started up the car, gave us brief instructions and we were off.

We drove a little while until we were in the middle of the forest, far away from civilization. Asher looked at me with a smirk as she turned on the flying feature. I let a slight scream escape my lips as we lifted off the ground into the air, clutching the door handle. Asher chuckled as I glared at her. She handed me the map and told me I was the navigator even though I have no idea how to read at map. 

"Erm Asher?"

"Yes?"

"Do you really think Hogwarts is going to be on a map?"

"Your aunt told me it should show up as we get closer to our destination. If you weren't zoned out while she talked you would have heard her tell you that too." 

"Hmph!" I crossed my arms and pouted like a little kid as I knew she was making fun of me again. She rolled her eyes amused and started going north as her instincts were nearly always right while mine were mostly always wrong. We drove for about 30 minutes until I finally saw Hogwarts appears on the map. I told Asher that we were nearly there as she tapped me on the shoulder and told me to look ahead. I did as told and saw the magnificent Hogwarts my grandmother always told me about as a young child. I was in such awe that I didn't notice we landed and Asher was already getting her things out of the car. I finally came out of my state of shock and got out to. I gathered my things and looked at Asher. 

"Let's do this thing." I said with a smile. We finally headed inside our true home for the next 8 years.
