It was weird. You spent your whole life trying protect the piece of yourself someone was expected to take. So many uncomfortable phone calls letting the guy know you didn't like him, so many long nights working extra hours so you could support yourself financially. Yet what about the emotional part of the equation. You couldn't deny the loneliness you felt walking along the bridge seeing couples holding hands and kissing silently wishing for someone to be next to you keeping you warm in the cold winter night. It was hard,you had to carry the full weight of all of your emotional baggage.
Until you met him. It's cliche you know, feeling complete and having your happiness being controlled by one guy. You didn't how it happened. You didn't know whether to blame the way his eyebrows tightly aligned in one straight line and his eyes squinting at his computer screen trying to finish the new song he had been producing all night or whether it was the raspiness in his voice after rapping all day, or if it was when he told you he loved you with his eyes looking straight into your soul.
You didn't care. Yoongi was your missing link, puzzle piece and savior all in one. He made woke you up from the life you were living before and made you realize what life truly was. It was more then the equations and tests, it was poetry and captivating feelings with words. It was the admiration and love laced in every lyric he sang to you despite the fact that 15 million other people also were listening to the same song with you. Every beat took time, every note was calculated, and every word transported his message to your ears.
His hand was so warm compared to the coolness of yours. His kisses ignited your spirit and made you for the first time desperately want the house by the ocean. Complete with the constant nosiness of kids playing throughout and the warmth of Yoongi's body right next to yours at night even if it was for the 3 hours he actually slept. You just wanted Yoongi and everything he stood for. For once you longed for something other than yourself. You longed for everything that came with him.
