Chapter 35: Jade's got a boyfriend

*Jade's P.O.V.*

"Good morning, sweatheart. Are you feeling any better?" CC asked, waking me up.

I yawned and stretched and my head felt better. I had a small headache still but it didn't hurt nearly as bad as it did the past few days.

"Yeah, I feel okay." I said.

I sat up slowly to prevent my head from hurting anymore. CC opened my curtains to let some light in and he sat on my bed.

"Do you wanna get up now?" He asked.

"Yeah." I said.

I still felt tired but I didn't want to sleep all day. I figured I would wake up and eat and probably take a nap afterwards. CC helped me get up and I walked to the kitchen without feeling sick. I sat down and Ashley was making me some breakfast.

"Hello, sleepy head. How are you feeling?" Ashley asked.

"Better." I said.

"That's good. I'm making a light breakfast for you. It'll be done soon." He said.

"Thanks." I said.

CC sat down next to me. Ashley finished making the food and I ate. The boys ate as well. We all finished and Ashley put the dishes away while CC helped me get showered and dressed. I was exhausted by the time I was dressed and CC brought me out to the living room. He put on some quiet tv and I took a nap.

I woke up and CC was still awake but it was much later.

"Hey sleepy." He said to me.

"Hi." I said.

I was laying on his chest as he was laying on the couch.

"How're you feeling?" CC asked.

"Better." I said.

"Even more better than before?" He asked.

I looked at him and smiled.

"Yeah, I guess so." I said.

He smiled.

"That's good." He said.

He wrapped his arms around me and I snuggled into his chest more. I listened to his heart beat and it calmed me. The peacefulness of his breaths and the rhythmic pulse of his heartbeat was calming. I loved listening to it and I could stay here for hours. He rubbed my back to comfort me.

"I love you CC." I said.

He smiled.

"I love you too Jade." He said.

I drifted off to sleep.

*Next week*

My alarm clock went off telling me it was time to go back to school.

"Get up Jade." CC said from his room.

"Grr." I said.

I put my pillow over my head and I heard footsteps come to my room. A strong man picked me up and brought me to the bathroom.

"Take a shower." CC said.

I got in the shower and got dressed. I then went to the kitchen and ate. I was all ready for school and I got into CC's truck, along with Sky. CC drove us to school.

"Hey, I'm glad you're back Jade." Sky said.

He hugged me and we caught up, mostly on what was going on at school. We arrived and CC gave me lunch money. Sky and I went inside and almost nothing changed. We went through the whole day like normal. I had gotten all of my missed work while I was away so I was caught up to the other kids when I got back. The school day was over and CC picked up me and Sky. We went back home and hung out for a bit. We went to my room and did our homework and talked.

"Hey, Jade?" Sky asked.

"Yeah, what's up?" I said.

"Um, can I tell you something?" He asked.

"Yeah, is something wrong?" I asked.

"No, it's just... well, okay." He said. "I've had a crush on you ever since I met you."

"Oh." I said.

I started blushing.

"And uh, I really like you Jade. Do you feel the same way?" He asked.

I could tell he was nervous. I blushed.

"Well, I guess I never really thought about it but I do really like Sky."

"Yeah." I said.

We were both blushing like crazy now.

"Do you wanna be my girlfriend?" He asked.

"Yeah." I said.

We both smiled like crazy and we hugged.

We ended up finishing our homework and I walked him home, even though it was just next door.

"I'll see you tomorrow." Sky said, smiling.

"Okay, bye." I said.

"Bye." He said.

We hugged and I kissed him on the cheek. I went back to my house and was blushing and smiling like crazy.

"Woah, what's going on here?" Ashley asked, noticing my red face.

"Nothing." I said.

"Do you think I was born yesterday? I know what's going on, you have a crush, don't you?" He said.

"Maybe." I said, smiling.

"Aww, that's so cute. Jade's got a little crush on someone." Ashley said.

"On who?" CC asked, popping his head out of the kitchen.

"Sky." I said, looking down.

"Aww, that's cute." CC said.

"Did he ask you out?" Ashley asked.

"Yeah." I said.

"And?" Ash asked.

"I said yes." I said, blushing even more, if that was possible.

"Aww, Jade's got a boyfriend." Ashley sang while picking me up.

"Yeah." I said.

He set me down and I got ready for bed. I texted Sky goodnight and then went to bed.

"I can't wait to see him tomorrow, I really like him."

I smiled and drifted off to sleep while thinking about my new boyfriend.
