Part 26

Amys POV:

Once we had finished the conversation with Simon Niall took me and Mason back to his where I got our things together.

"Thanks for having us Ni" I smiled up at the blonde hair blue eyed lad.

"No problem, you both should come over again sometime" Niall smiled giving Mason a kiss on the cheek. "Do you want me to give you a lift back to Li's?" Niall asked looking into my brown eyes.

"It fine, we could do with the walk couldn't we Mase?" I asked my son who I got from Niall and placed him in his pram. He popped his thumb into his mouth and waved to his father.

"Oh I'll probably meet up with the lads to discuss the Mason thing tomorrow" Niall smiled waving at me and Mason whilst we walked down onto the street. I turned around and waved to Niall then carried on walking down the road.

I walked past a few shops and came across a starbucks. I stopped and thought if I should go in. After a few seconds I decided on going in.I pushed the pram through the door waiting behind the two couples in front. Thoughts kept running through my head of Niall. Why does life have to be complicated? How come things never go how you want them too?

I looked down at Mason who was playing with Leon his teddy in his pram. I snapped out of my gaze when one of the staff called 'Next' I shuffled down and gave my order 'A coffee and a piece of chocolate cake with two folks' As I was giving the lass the money Mason started to cry and the lady behind the counter who must have been around 17 smiled at the infant and told me she would bring over our order. I thanked her and took a seat on the last table available near the far window.

I unbuckled Mason from his pram which was placed at the side of the table and put him on my knee to try and stop hin from crying.

"Come on Mase, whats wrong?" I tried calming him down. A few customers kept turning around and looking at the crying boy in my arms. I rocked the boy in my arms trying to get him to stop, I placed a dummy into his mouth but he didn't seem to want it as he pushed it back out.

The young lass brought over my order, I said Thankyou and she went back to serve. Mason kept pointed to his pram and I searched what he was after.

"Mason baby, you'll have to tell me I dont know what you're pointing at" I soothed brushing a few strands of hair off his forehead.

"W-weon" Mason cried rubbing his eyes. There was no sign of Leon in his pram "Please don't tell me he's lost it" I muttered under my breath standing up with Mason and searching the back of the pram. I sighed and I saw a young man around 21 starting to walk over smiling with his coffee in one hand and holding Leon in the other. I let out a sigh of relief.

Once the man reached where I was sitting, Mason quitened down and rubbed his eyes reaching out for the stuffed bear, the man passed him his bear saying "I believe this is yours" He grinned, I smiled back "Thankyou so much" I took a sip of my coffee.

"May I?" He asked pointing to the spare bench in front of my table, I nodded and put Mason on the bench beside me, I gave him a mouthful of cake whilst he smiled up at me with Leon in one hand and his bottle in the other. "Mwummy have swome?" Mason asked. "Its ok, Mase you have it" I smiled handing him another piece.

"Mum?" The stranger infront of us spoke with a big grin. "Yeah" I smiled down at the infant.

"Oh I'm Lee by the way" Lee stuck his hand out for me to shake.

I shook his hand and spoke "Im Amy, and this is Mason" I said feeding Mason cake, his head shot to me when I said his name.

"Hello Mason" Lee looked towards the boy with cake around his mouth who waved. Me and Lee laughed and talked whilst we drank our coffee.

I found out he is called Lee, he is 21 and works as a macanic. He lives just down the road from Niall and he lives with his mum and younger brother and sister.

Once Mason finished his cake he crawled over to my legs and laid his head against my chest, I wrapped my arms around him for support whilst I finished my coffee. Lee smiled down at the infant and spoke

"We should do this again some time, maybe a meal like" He looked down to his joint hands "like a date, yano get to know each other more" He looked up with hopeful eyes.

I thought for a few minutes. "I'm being stupid, you're not single are you" Lee laughed embarressed rubbing a hand over his slight red cheeks. I thought again I am single right? Niall hasn't asked me to be his girlfriend, it was just a kiss it wasn't anything offical so why couldn't I?

"I am single" I looked down at the now asleep Mason and placed him gently in the pram. Me and Lee swaped numbers and I took Mason back home to Emma's and Liam's.

~Home~

"ey ey, where have you been?" Emma whispered to me. With her eyebrows raised and a smug grin on her face.

"At Niall's and starbucks" I shrugged picking up Mason pointed to Emma I was off to take him upstairs for bed.

The rest of that day me and Emma sat down and talked and watched films whilst Liam was with Zayn.
