[Trigger Warning: Violence & Death, skip to the part that says End]

Castiel stood by the lake, kicking a rock, while talking to Dean on the phone. They weren't talking about anything specific, just talking about what they did over the weekend. As usual Dean told him bad jokes, trying to make his boyfriend laugh, successfully. A few minutes before Castiel decided to call Dean, he was hanging out with his friends at a party, the music was still audible down by the lake.

"I hate it, I wan't to be with you, not with some drunk teenagers singing dumb songs", Castiel complained. Dean laughed, making him grin at the sound. "Well, you wanted to do something with your friends."

"Yeah I know, but it's not the same. Now they're just getting high, not even bothering that I left." Both chuckled. It was too dark to make something out, but Castiel could've sworn there were people around.

"Anyway, since it's summer break I thought you could come over tomorrow, my parents aren't home and Gabe is sleeping at a friends house."

"Yeah, okay", Dean chuckled knowingly.

"What? Why are you laughing?" His boyfriend sounded confused.

"Nothing! It's just cute", the green eyed boy grinned, whereupon Castiel groaned. Dean loved to tease him. Every time Castiel would either laugh or groan, but he would always be smiling. He loved his angelic smile, he loved his ocean blue eyes, his way of talking, his awkwardness, he just really loved Castiel.

"You know someday, when you least expect it, I will break everything you own and love", Castiel smiled annoyed.

"Well, that's just even cuter. Like a puppy!" Dean laughed, thinking about those blue eyes. Again, Castiel heard a noise. It sounded like people whispering. It creeped him out.

"Wait a second", he said, holding the phone away from his ear, to listen to the sounds. They were gone, as if they knew he would be listening.

"What're you doing?", Dean asked a bit concerned.

"Nothing, there are probably just drunk teenagers, trying to scare me or some shit." He tried calming himself down by saying that, unsuccessfully.

"Okay, just- be careful. Who knows what they're capable of." In that state of mind, everything was possible.

"Dean, it's fine. I can handle this myself", Castiel assured him, trying to sound brave and totally not terrified.

"Yeah I know, but still." Like always, Dean was being the overprotective boyfriend.

"Could you talk to me?" It always calmed him down when Dean talked about everyday things, like grades, movies or what he found in the dollar store. Dean knew Castiel was scared, hell, even he would be scared in that situation. Castiel walked back to the house party, while Dean talked about some stuff.

"This morning Sam came to my room to ask me what your favorite color is. He's making you a present. Eh, you should probably act surprised when you get it, I'm not supposed to tell you." The green eyed boy chuckled, making Castiel smile.

All of a sudden two boys appeared in front of him, grinning like psychopaths. One of them had an extension cord in his hands. The guy walked in Castiels direction, while his partner stood behind Castiel, making sure he wouldn't run. This was it, he felt it. They were going to kill him. Without hesitation he concentrated back on his boyfriend.

"Dean, I love you, don't you ever forget that." He wanted those words to be his last, he wanted Dean to know how much he loved him.

"Cass? What do you mean, is everything alright?!", he panicked, almost screaming into the phone.
