Chapter 59: Ending
As I was about to stab the knife into my heart, I heard a voice scream, which caused me to carelessly drop the knife.
"The fuck was that...?" I murmured to myself.
Then, out of nowhere, Robin came flying out from the cupboard.
She jumped onto me, causing me to crash on the floor.
"Stop..." she whispered, wrapping her arms around my neck.
I could feel the tears streaming down her face.
"Robin..." I whispered as stroked her hair. "What are you doing here...?"
"I'm hiding out here but forget me! J-just... don't... kill yourself!" I could feel her tears flow harder.
She was shivering on my lap as I blinked my tears away.
I grabbed her shoulders and slowly pulled her away. I showed her a shy smile.
"I won't, now that you're here." I said.
I could tell she was about to smile but instead she buried her face into my shoulder.
"I love you, Robin."
I pray that this will be the moment I finally hear her response.
She pulled away and gazed into my eyes. "I love you too, stupid."
I smiled as I grabbed the back of her head and pressed her lips against mine.
We pulled away for a second. "You and me, alright? This is it." she said.
"This is it." I answered. "Unless... Harper comes along again." I chuckled.
She glared at me.
"Don't make jokes now!" I scolded myself.
We shared a laugh. Then, Robin pulled on my shirt which made our noses touch. "I love you." she said.
"I love you too." I replied.
...
...
...
"Hey, you know, you've been seated on my lap for a while now, perv." I said with a smirk.
"Look who's talking?" she chuckled.
I really think... things can go back to the way they used to be... But this time, she's all mine.
