The Only Chapter

"I can't find my phone." I said
"You probably left it at the table at the eating area. Where we were eating fries and fried oreos?" Nicky explained.
"Well, I'm going to go check." I said
"But, we have to ride the Ferris Wheel. It's my favorite ride and there's only like 10 minutes left before they close."
"Then stay in line and I'll go look." I suggested
"Ok, I'll be right here." She said while making a motion to where she was standing.
I turned around and started running towards the table. When the table got into my line of sight, I could see a tall ,tan, nice built guy searching for something. I walked over to him.
"What are you looking for?"I said
"My Iphone." He looked up at me for a split second, then went back to looking around.
"Me too." I replied
"You're also looking for your phone." he said with disbelief and amusement spread across his face.
"Yep." I said popping the p. I started looking around at all the surrounding tables. What if we didn't find either of them and then some stranger has all of my information. What if they blackmail me to-
"I found my phone." A deep voice said, breaking me from my thoughts.
"Can you call my phone." I asked
"Sure, just put your number in and call it." He said while handing his phone to me.
"You know I never got your name." He said.
"My name is Keeley." I said nonchalantly while putting in my number.
"Shhhhhh" I said
When we were both silent we finally heard ringing. And it was coming from an overflowing trashcan.... We both looked at each other with an expression that could only be described as "oh shit".
"How did it get in there." He asked
" I have absolutely no idea" I replied
"How are you going to get it out." He asked.
"I'm sure as hell not going to dig through this." I stated. Then I got a brilliant idea.
"What if I did something for you in return of you getting my phone." After I said that a smirk spread across his face,
"Ok ......but you have to buy me every kind of peeps there are. That means you have to buy me the regular kind,Mini's, Christmas edition, Valentine's edition, Spring edition, and every kind of special edition." He said as his eyes gleamed with happiness of just the thought of having all those peeps.
"That was definitely not the answer I was expecting but I agree." I said as I put my hand to shake on it. He also put his hand but retracted.
"Wait, so you're saying that you would agree to other things." He said, putting an emphasis on "other things".
"No but I'm just saying that, that answer was not what I was expecting. And anyway you already said your answer, there's no going back. "I stated
"Fine" He agreed and finally shook my hand.
He turned around and knocked over the trashcan.
"What the hell are you doing.You're making a scene." I whisper shouted
And I was right everyone in a 10 meter radius was staring at us.
"It's alright I have this under control." He reassured me.
Then he walked over to a food truck and grabbed a butt load of napkins. He put the napkins on a table and grabbed some from the top of the pile.
"Call your phone again." He said. I turned on his phone and dialed my number. Once he heard the ringing he walked over to the trashcan and dumped more trash out of it. He then walked over the table and grabbed some napkins. He walked back to trash and started to move the trash that was on the ground around with his hands. He wasn't touching the trash because he had the napkins on his hands. I had to give it to him it was a pretty smart idea.
"Call it one more time." He said
When the phone was on its second ring, he finally pulled it the phone out if the trash. The only problem was it was slathered in cheese.
"Well, I am glad to have helped you and been your Knight In Shining Armor but I still expect my peeps." He said
"What if you clean off my phone and I'll do one more thing." I suggested
"Dirty Keeley just wants to get to other things but yes I will accept your offer ." He said as he was walking over to the table to get more napkins and started to clean off my phone.
"What do you want me to do?" I said hoping he didn't say something disgusting.
"I want us to exchange numbers." He said and that took me by surprise.
"Well aren't you full of surprises." I said
"I know you want to get to other things but I need to at least have your number." He said teasingly and I just rolled my eyes.
Once he was done getting all the cheese off my phone ,he turned it on and started typing. After he was done typing he handed me his phone to put my number in.
"Well I better get going but it was nice meeting you and don't forget about our deal. You owe me a lot of peeps and a phone call." He said
I was going to say a witty comment but he was already walking away.
"Keeley!!" Nicky screeched and I cringed because she could be screeching because, A She saw who I was talking to or B It was because I left her for a long time.
"You made me go on my favorite ride in the whole wide world ALONE to talk to some guy!" She said
"I'll explain to you later but I really need to get home. It's already 10:25 and my curfews 10:30." I said
"You better explain to me later." She said.
"I started to walk away after I shouted a "see you later" to Nicky. When I started to walk back to my car it started to rain.
"Great. Just Great." I said to myself as I opened my car door. This car,a brand new silver BMW, is only 50% mine because I share it with my twin brother, Zach. The only reason I don't need a ride with Nicky is because he got a ride with some girl he met. I'm sure that's not the only ride she's giving Zach.
As I turned on the car, Shawn Mendes's voice flowed through the car. Hearing his angelic voice instantly put me at ease. A little too much at ease.
When I got to the first stop light it started to rain even harder to where I could only see a couple meters ahead but I still continued going the normal speed because the roads were dead.
A couple minutes later I heard a ping. I looked down and saw I had a message. Wondering who it was from ,I took my eyes off the road for literally 5 seconds to see who it was from. And long and behold it was from "Talon" and read - hey I'm the guy you met at the fair and I was wondering-
Before I could finish reading the text a pair of blinding headlights were in front of me and coming right towards me. While I was reading the text I must've swerved into the other lane. But now there was no time to swerve.
My last thoughts were that I would never return Talon's text or give him his peeps ,or tell Nicky what happened and I wouldn't see her later,and Tucker won't understand why I left him and never came home.
And then everything went black.
