The Mystery Man

I'm so grateful to have a dad like mine, whenever I'm with him he always gives me a smile on my face even if I was down.

I don't know how he does it, like he could read my mind I thought to myself.

Both of my parents went to work, I always feel so lonely like I'm the only person on earth it would be kind of nice to have company like having a sibling but mom always said she couldn't have one because she always led to miscarriages and how I was about to die but they somehow revived me

 it's like I had a purpose in life or something. It was getting dark out so I decided to go to bed even though my dad was going to come any minute now.

I heard someone enter the house, scared me for a second but obviously there's nothing to worry about, I went back to sleep and closed my eyes and went back to my dream about how a little girl was lost in reality

how she was always stuck in her own fantasy, that little girl reminds me of me.

After a few minutes later I heard a huge scream not the one in horror movies but worst. This scream was helpless and the scream itself was terrifying, hoping it wasn't my father even though I doubt it. I ran as fast as I can 

like an eagle heading down to capture it's prey but as quiet as a mouse

 I couldn't believe what I saw

 hoping my eyes deceived me. My own father whom I've been living with for all my life lying down dead, with blood splattered everywhere and the masked man beside my father who is covered in his blood.

 I whimpered but silently so the masked man couldn't hear me.

 What did he want from my father? Why did he decide to kill him? What was he trying to accomplish? The mysterious man ran out the door as fast as he can.

Only if I knew who he was and once i find out who he was, he will pay for what he's done. No child should witness the murder of his father.
