Tyler's pov*
"It's ok baby. Everything's gonna be alright."
I said but I hated how he smelled today. It reeked of my mother. It reeked of all the times my dad and her would argue. It reeked of the last day I ever saw my father but it also reeked of the day Josh and I almost broke up..
"No it's not ok! I just smoked again..my habit is coming back and I don't know if I'll be able to quit it this time."
Josh sobbed and punched the locker in the halls.
"It's ok. We'll get through this together."
"That's what everyone says before they finally get tired and let the person fend for themselves.."
I hug Josh from behind my grip tight,
"I'll never leave you alone.."
"Promise?"
"I promise Joshua."
"Can we go home early?"
Josh asks sniffling a bit.
"Sure we can babe lets go.."
I grab his hand and pull him close to my chest. Usually it's Josh that cradles me close to his chest while I'm sniffling. This time it's my turn to comfort him.
We walk out of the school and towards the parking lot.
"Keys?"
I ask Josh and he turns to me but before he has a chance to protest I simply shoot him a look that means don't argue with me..
He fishes the keys out of his pockets and tosses them at me. I start the car and then soon we arrive at my house.
I help Josh get up the stairs and he cooperates as best as he can. He looks so broken though...
He lays on my bed and I lay beside him and pull him closer.
The fabric of my blanket keeping us warm as the wind blows in through the window.
"Josh I love you."
I whisper to him as his eyes close shut.
"Even if I smell like a nicotine factory?"
He says and I chuckle.
"Even if you smell like a nicotine factory."
I repeat and give him a small kiss on the nose.
"Even if I smell like dead people?"
"Even if you smell like dead people Joshie."
"Even if I die.?"
"Even if you die. I'll die with you."
Josh smiles slightly then hugs me closer.
"Goodnight Joshua."
"Goodnight Princess."
