I turned the final turn running for it all ,I looked left then right then I realized. life is like a racetrack you just keep going round and round. Sure sometimes you crash and burn but your not gonna make the turn in-till you learn. Now I pull into the winner circle and in a dead stare my father says what's the matter with you? You have just won the 2013 dirt racing go kart championship. Well I said let's party with a sad smile look, latter I sat with a cup of soda and said to myself
Am I dreaming or what I've just beat the worlds best racers.
I walked over and shook my competitions hand as he said congratulation. As I walk back to my table I met my other competition who came in third place I told him congratulations you want to join me for a drink. By this time my mother Arrived and she met me next to the cart and she congratulated and took a bunch of pictures and kiss me ,I told her as a mom stopping all my friends are here. During the party I decided to back out to my car and just sit there for a moment and relax and just think about the races I had ran. And the next night and I really couldn't sleep and then I realized what I had to do.
The very next day I went down to the track just to make sure I had lost my touch for the kart and this little girl comes up and says can I race you for the top spot? I answered yes why not. The younger girl was only four and had a pink box stock go kart. So I let her get way ahead and then began gaining on her finally we turn down the final stretch, we were neck and neck then I locked the breaks up and let her win. The little girl come threw the pits like a bullet, then the dad walks over and says thank you you don't know how much it means to her. I said I understand , I remember my first win I but it's not that he interrupted she has cancer and has a short time to live and this was one of the last things she wanted to do.
I had a lump in my throat that I just could not swallow. So I walked and said he hotshot can I get your autograph sure she said! the little girl scribbled on a page I got it and took a pic with her. The name read "Sam ".
The little girl whispered in my ear I'm going to go live with Jesus , very soon the doctor says.
"Ten days later"
The father called the little girl had past and left me a note it said "I will always be with you but you can have your top spot back.
