Hi, to anyone who will ever read this.  I got the idea for this story from a dream that i had, i would really want to know what other people think of it. I have to tell you that i have Dyslexia and i am also german so my english may not be the best. I still hope that some of you will enjoy this little Prologue.

Chieron

One day, right after dawn, something quite unusual happend in the Forbidden Forrest. A new creature arrived, over night near our Meadow. Not that this is the unusual part, no this happens frequently. Hargid, the Keeper of Grounds, has love for the strangest of beasts. No this beast is even stranger than Aragog the Acromantula or Fluffy the three headed dog.

Its also not unusual that it just magically apeared. Magic is the most common thing here for we live on Hogwarts Grounds and Hogwarts you must know is a school. A school for witchcarf and wizadry. No, this most peculiar beast is a human Foal, no older than 12 moon cycles, already capable of accidental magic.

I got the most tiresome task to watch over it until our leader decided what to do with it. Our leader was just consulting with our most experienced seer. This foul can't even stand, its completely helpless and it leaks. I can't stop to wonder how humans can even survive childhood. It also started to cry everytime i wanted to lay it down. At one point it even crabbed my tail. Crying seams like the only thing this foal can do, crying and grabbing and pulling at myself.

After a few more minutes our leader called for me just as the little devil started to pull at a strand of may mane... nobody touches my mane, the nerve..

When i arrived at the center of our meadow the leader and the seer both awaited me.I was still bowing my head respectfully as the seer spoke „ The stars demand that this human foal shall be named Cassiopeia Centauri. We are to give her to the Keeper of Grounds, he will rise the child and we shall protect her whenever she may be in need of protection."

„But seer this is just an human foal. The wizards so oftend treat us like common mules. Why should weprotect one of there foals." I argued. „Every talented Star reader in our herd agreed on the matter." retorted our Leadergently even though i spoke out of line.

As i tried to speak again I was interruped by the foal pulling so hard on my mane that i nearly droped it. „ Stop this at once, you foolish thing" i growled. It just smiled at me, bright green eyes sparkling. „ Look it already treats us with disrespect." said I to my fellow Centaurs

„ Chieron you are speaking out of line for the second time." said the Leader, a warning lay in his voice. „Its most importend that we keep her away from harm and when the time comes the stars will reveal their way." spoke the Seer. „You Chieron will be her guardian for you are named after the kindestof our ancestors. He was Mentor of countless Heros."

All my blood drained from my face and i got dizzy. I the Guardian, the Mentor of a human foal, a female child, a witch. He cant be serious. „But" i strated just to havethe Seer interup me „ It is written in the stars Chieron! We don't question the stars, we follow there will."

„ The time has come to bring Cassiopeia to the Keeper." said the Leader. As we rode towards Hagrids hut I voiced my doubts „ Is it wise to give her to Hagrid if we want to keep her from harm? He is clumsy, big and has love forthe most dangerus beats." one look at the leaders face was enoughto know that I may have puched my luck to far so i quickly added. „But who am I to question the stars."

We walked on, the girl was still pulling at may mane while the Elders watched over us with disapproving looks. When we finally arrived at Hagrids hut he was surpriesd to see all three of us.

The seer rarely leaves the meadow for he was engaged staring at the stars by night and busy interpreting themwith the assistance of the other gifted Centaurs at daylight.

„ Mornin what can I do for ya?"asked the half-giant.

„ Chieron would you please give the child to Hagrid." said the leader it sounded annyoed like he just had to repeat himself several times.

I don't need to read the Stars to forsee that i will be in trouble for my disrespect later.

Carefully i untangled the childs handout of my mane and laid her gently in the half-giants arms.

I had the strong feeling that if i would be anything but gentle to the child my life would be miserable untill its very end.

Seconds after i placed her in in Hagrids arms, the child giggled and pulled at the Keepers dark hair and beard. I didn't know that it could make an other sound than crying. Hmph this foal is foolish to change her allegaince so fast.

„ As we said Chieron will be her guardian. You are to rise Cassiopeia Centauri its from upmost importance"explained the seer to Hagrid who was obviously confused

I realised that i must have been distractetd when they toled Hagrid the rest.

„ I'll have to talk about that witht he Hedmaster." said Hagrid while gently patting the chillds head.

„ I have informed Dumbledore alreday. He will arive shortly" was the Seers answer just as we spotted Albus Dumbledore walking towards us.
