Prologue
You did it Luke. After years you found your passion for writing again and you did it; you got your first book published. First out of many I'm sure. It's been a year since I've last spoken to you and I'm trying to stay strong and not call you but everyday it gets harder. There is so much I want to tell you, and now looking at you and watching from afar, it just makes me miss you so much more. You're stubborness, your passion, those brown eyes that I always found a way to get lost in. I just want to take you in my arms and never let go. You do look better Luke, your eyes are shining a little more since the last time I've seen them but they still don't have that spark I saw the first time I laid eyes on you. I hate to say it but it's probably is my fault. I've hurt you time and time again but I can't do it anymore and I won't. I may not be your knight in shining armor but I won't be the character that destroys you either. Live on Luke, be happy and don't hold back from anything. Your stubborn enough to get your dreams, don't let yourself hold back from making it happen. I love you so much Luke Synder.

After a couple of hours at a book signing in Los Angeles, he finds the next person in line a elderly woman with eyes that sent a shock to his heart. He's only seen those eyes from one person in his life, it's the same blue eyes that has been haunting his dream for almost 4 years. The eyes of the man that he was trying to forget. He shakes himself out of his daze and smiles. "Hello Ma'am. How are you today?" He asks as she hands the book to him.
"Exceptionally bright, how about yourself?" She replies with a smile that Luke couldn't help but relax and feel comfortable with.
"Surprisingly well." He answers back but there was still a hint of uncomfortable that he felt with being in LA. Noah was suppose to be in LA he always wondered if he was here, would he bumped into him. Noah promised he would wait for him there in LA but that was almost 4 years ago there was no way Noah could be waiting all this time. Maybe that was why he hasn't heard from him in about a year. Where was he? Even though he would never admit it out loud, He missed Noah.
Lightly dazed he clears his thoart and looks back up at the woman. "Is there anyone you would like me to sign this book too?" He asks.
"Yes to my great grandson, Ryder. His father just loves your book and I'm sure he wants his son to read the very best. " She answers with what he could only describe as a mischevious glint in her eyes. He knew it well cause he has mastered it himself, or he did when he was younger. He raises his eyebrow for less than a second before smiling and shaking his head.
"Well I'm flattered Mrs..." He starts but realizes he still had no idea who she was, but he wanted to know her because she looks so familiar to him. "I'm sorry I still haven't gotten your name?"
"Caroline."
He nods with a smile and signs the book before handing it back to her. "Thank you Caroline, you were certainly a breath of fresh air."
"No thank you Mr. Synder. I'm sure you just made my grandson's day." She comments with the gleam again. She winks at him before walking away to the back corner of the store.
She only made Luke more confused then he already was. He thought the book was for her Great Grandson so why did she say Grandson? As he signs the next person's book he couldn't help but contemplate it in his head. He was just about to shake it off until he thought he saw someone in the corner. "Noah?" He whispers.

Noah waits at the corner and pulls his hat down farther. He sees his grandmother, Caroline, making her way towards him.
"Well there you go honey. The signed book by the love of your life." She teases him. Noah rolls his eyes but grabs the book anyways. He smiles though when he hears Caroline laugh. Ever since he met her she has filled most of his life with light. He finally found that unconditional love he should have had when he was growing up. She reminded him so much of the two grandmothers he missed dearly. He gives her a smile then gives her a kiss on the cheek.
"I still think you are being naive Noah. You and that boy need to talk." She added with that look that he has only seen from Lucinda Walsh. Not something one wants to see.
"No Now lets go. Ryder is getting hungry and I want to get home before the kids burn the house down." He teases back. He lightly yelps when Caroline smackes him in the arm.
"Oh hush you know you love those kids." She replies with a laugh.
"Well I always did want a big family. Well I just wanted a family period." Noah admits and looks down. He missed The Synders but he made Luke a promise. No matter how painful it was.
"Well now you do and you also have a son." She says as she smiles down at the little boy in the stroller right in front of Noah. Noah looks down at Ryder and he couldn't help but smile too. Ryder looks up with his big brown eyes and squeals as he throws his hands up at his father. Noah laughs and grabs Ryder's little fist as he bends down to kiss Ryder's knuckles.
"Alright lets go home"
Caroline smiles at him and walks out. He looks towards Luke one more time only to be met with those haunting brown eyes that still make his heart skip a beat. He feels the corners of his mouth lift as he looks at Luke again even if it was only a few second. He looks away with all strength he had left and he follows his grandmother out of the bookstore.
