The wind blew through my hair as I was sitting on my rooftop. I could see everything around me, everything dead or alive. I sighed as I saw 5 walkers dragging themselves out of the woods. "Glenn!" I called out to the Asian looking boy who was inside. He came running out of the door and shouted back at me: "You okay there Mya?" I pointed at the woods and he nodded. "Let's head back, I got everything that was useful." He helped me off the roof as I sat on the edge of it and try to jump off. "You get the car, ill handle these myself." Glenn nodded as he headed towards the parked car a few houses further. I take out my machete and hold it in front of me, ready to chop the closest walker right in the middle of its head.

As the walker came close I swung my machete right into the middle of the already exposed skull and pull it back out. Glenn drove the car in front of me as I jumped in quickly before another walker could come close and grab me. I looked at him thankfully and smiled. "Thanks man, nice driving." He chuckled and nodded. "I will always come in time, family first." I smiled and looked back out of the window. Family first. Glenn was as a brother to me and ever since we found each other, we were almost never apart. He found me when I was in big trouble, yet he came in time, He always did."

After a car ride of a few 20 minutes we arrived at the camp near Atlanta. I saw that Rick and Shane were talking about something that seemed important but they let it go as soon they saw us arrive. "Lot of troubles?" Rick asked me when I stepped out of the vehicle and I shook my head. "Glenn came in time before trouble started." He ruffled his hands through my hair and chuckled. "She killed a walker all by herself. Good job kiddo." I rolled my eyes whilst laughing. "We're the same age Glenn! I'm not a kid!" "To me you are kiddo." I then shook my head and walked away smiling.

After a few hours, we were all preparing to have dinner, T-Dog wasn't really a five-star rated chef, but he could make things a bit tastier than they looked and smelled! I looked in front of me seeing Daryl had already taken place in front of the fire. He didn't really say much after some of our group came back without Merle, his brother. Merle wasn't really a good guy, but he was his brother... I just shrugged and took a paper plate to go and get some of the food T-Dog made. I don't know what it was, but I really didn't need to know. I took another paper plate and said I was going to give it to Daryl. "You sure Mya? He isn't really feeling the love tonight." T-Dog said as he dumped some of the "food" on the paper plate. "A man's got to eat, right?" He shrugged and smiled. I turned around and sat back next to Daryl and gave him the plate. "You should eat, you barely ate since last week..." He looked at me and scoffed. I threw the plate in front of him and stood up. "You're welcome, douchebag."

As I walked over to Shane and Glenn with my plate I sat in between them and started to eat, I looked through my bangs as I saw that Daryl took his plate and nibbled on the food that was on it. I rolled my eyes and focused myself back on the food as I heard Dale starting one of his old stories, I loved his stories. I felt eyes burning on me as I was listening to his stories and I looked in the direction of the eyes behind me. "Shane, its rude to stare." I chuckled as I noticed he didn't realise I caught him. "Nah I wasn't staring, I was admiring." I rolled my eyes as did Glenn. I saw Lori glance at Shane and gave her a questioning look. I knew what she and Shane had been doing when Rick wasn't around.

I felt sleepy so I leaned against Glenn's shoulders and yawned. "You tired?" Shane asked and I shook my head. "No I feel like running a marathon Shane." He rolled his eyes at my sarcasm but I felt Glenn giggling. "I was trying to be friendly Mya." "Yeah we know how friendly you can be right?" I glanced at Lori and she ignored it whilst holding Carl and leaning against Rick. I pushed myself from Glenn and took off to my tent. As I was walking to my tent I heard someone walking behind me and I turned around seeing it was Shane. "Did you really have to do that in front of everyone?" He asked me holding my arm. I pulled my arm out of his grip and looked directly into his eyes. "You need to back off Shane, your job doesn't make you what you are in an apocalypse, you can't just rule over everyone." He scoffed and turned back to the fire pit. I sighed and got into my tent, I didn't trust the darkness.

A few hours later I woke up as I heard footsteps walking near my tent. I zipped my tent open quietly as I saw Carol running to the RV. I got out of my tent with just a short and top and no shoes. "Carol?" I whispered. She looked frightened and pulled me closer. "I saw something in the woods, I was... I was getting something and I saw something. I'm not sure but I saw something and it looked dead... or alive..." "Carol, calm down, I'm going to check it okay?" As I wanted to go back to my tent to take my machete I felt her pull me back. "No! wake up Rick, you cannot do this alone Mya, it's dangerous..." I shrugged. "I can do this Carol.'' I looked at her hand that was holding my wrist and she let go of it. I didn't ask her what she was doing, I knew it was probably to get away from Ed for a minute, he was a monster, sometimes I even thought he was worse than those walkers. I got to my tent to quickly jump into my shoes and a jacket. I took my machete and a flashlight ready to go into the woods.

I looked at Carol next to the RV and motioned at her to go back to her tent. She just obeyed and did what I asked. I slowly walked to the woods and put on the flashlight I was holding with my machete in the other hand ready to slash into a skull or a neck. I kept walking slowly until I heard a branch being broken by a footstep. I wanted to turn around but Instead a hand put itself right in front of my mouth and held my arm with the machete in it. "Shush, I'm going to help you." The voice whispered. I freed myself from the persons grip and saw that it was Daryl.

"What the fuck are you doing here?" I whispered loudly. He looked around and shushed me again. "Helping you, I heard Carol telling you what she saw, a woman shouldn't go out by herself in a world fucked up by the living dead." I rolled my eyes at his comment and snorted. "You really think I can't handle them? Wrong. Now let me do what I was going to do." He let go of me and nodded. "Aight woman, but you ain't going alone, we don't want no shit yer?" I shrugged. "Whatever Dixon." He took his crossbow of his back and walked next to me into the woods. We looked around and didn't really see something alive, dead or both and I lowered my machete. "I don't see shit, I'm doubting if she really saw or heard something." I said to Daryl and he shook his head. "Something is here." He pointed at the dragged footsteps and then looked back to his right. "There." He whispered and pointed at his right where a walker was quietly slumping and dragging himself. I was ready to quietly go over there and take care of it but Daryl already impaled the head with an arrow. "Ah you are no fucking fun." I said as I stomped away back towards the camp. He snickered and went to get his arrow before following me back.

As we arrive back at the camp we see like 7 walkers terrorising the people who were still in the camp and biting some of them too. I ran instantly to Glenn who was held up by two of those monsters and I took one off to split the head. "Where were you? I was worried!" He asked me. "Questions later Glenn, we need to get them done." He nodded and helped me kill the ones close to us. I looked around me and I knew.. People were going to die, but I wont give up, I will keep fighting.
