Your cousin forced you to go with her when she wanted to go flirt with the pink haired mechanic who lived across the street. You had no intention of watching her get rejected again, but had no choice as she had bribe material against you.
Her flirting skills were terrible, and she wore too much makeup and tried way to hard. Any man would feel uncomfortable, including the mechanic whose name you found out was Kazuichi. Honestly, he wasn't that bad looking, but a romantic life was very nonexistent for you, and you didn't plan on getting a boyfriend anytime soon. Plus he probably doesn't like guys like that.
After being kindly rejected, your cousin stomped away, fuming. You sighed, but before leaving the pink-haired boy spoke up. "H-Hey...you wanna...hang out sometime?" And that was the start of your friendship.
A few months after you met him, Kazuichi got scouted into Hope's Peak Academy, and now he doesn't stop talking about his friends there. But the one he talks about the most would be Sonia Nevermind. He has a huge (ridiculous) crush on her and it's obvious that the feelings aren't reciprocated (from what you know anyway). You couldn't help but feel a little pang of jealousy every time Kazuichi talks of her.
Just about every day, even with him going to Hope's Peak and you going to a normal high school, the two of you would hang out. One day the both of you were hanging out in his garage. A comfortable silence fell upon the two of you as he fiddled with his broken stereo and you just silently watched him. This was a normal thing, as the two of you were comfortable enough with each other that neither of you felt the need to fill the silence. "Can...I tell you something?" Kazuichi hesitantly broke the silence. Concerned, you looked at him to see that he has ceased at his work and was just staring at the stereo the two of you accidentally broke a week before (he's just been messing with it since, not actually fixing it). You stared at him in silence for what seem liked infinity, until he finally spoke with a broken voice. "N-Nevermind..."
It's been nine days since then. At the time, you didn't force him to tell you anything because your mother called you home. It's been nine days since you've last seen him. He hasn't come over, and you don't have his number. You tried to go see him at the house, but he's never home.
You were home alone. You are an only child, living with only your mother. She is working late tonight, like she usually would. It was a mostly normal day so far, minus the fact that you couldn't hang out with Kazuichi. Well, until there was a knock on your front door. Outside the door was Kazuichi, whom had tons of bruises and cuts on his face and arms. You helped him inside and set him on the couch before going to find the first aid kit. Once you found it you demanded that he would unzip his jumpsuit and take off his shirt. He winced as he silently did as you said. Almost complete silence filled the room as you carefully cleaned and bandaged his wounds. You were halfway finished when you finally asked the one question which was bouncing around your mind. "How...how did this happen?" He looked up at you, and you could see the emotional pain in his eyes. "I...I've never told anyone this before...i-it's never been this bad before...I could a-always hide it from everyone..." Kazuichi looked away from you, unable to explain it and see your expression. "M-My father...beats me..." You suppressed the gasp that almost escaped your lips, shocked of what the explanation really was. A heavy silence fell between you two as you continued to clean him up. In a broken, fearful, quiet voice, Kazuichi broke the silence. "Please...don't tell anyone..."
"I won't." You whisper back. A sad silence now filled the house. You slowly, hesitantly, place a soft kiss on a bruise near his neck. He shivers slightly and turns his head to look at you. His pink eyes land on your (e/c) orbs. Kazuichi makes the first move, kissing you softly and lovingly. He pulls away, but you quickly pull him back in for a passionate one. The type of kiss that you would read in books. The one which seems to hold all the feelings you've been hiding from the other person. One that lets them know that you love them. Except, Kazuichi pulls back quickly. You got nervous and looked at him. There was no sign of disgust or anger on his face like you had feared. The emotion that was clear on his face was panic. Before you could ask him what was wrong, he blurted out in a broken voice "No no no no no no no my dad is gonna kill me!" He tugged at his choppy pink hair, pulling at his scalp. Tears began to fill his eyes. "Im dead. Im dead-" He kept panicking until you finally took his hands in yours and made him look you in the eyes. You wiped away his tears. "Your dad won't find out, I promise. And if he does, we can run away together, okay?" This seemed to calm him down and he nodded "Okay.." You then pecked his lips softly, and a few little stray tears falling down his beautiful face, and continued to cleans the rest of his wounds, planting soft kisses on every bruise as you go.
「 Bonus 」
He stayed at your house for the next few days, as it was summer break and you didn't allow him to go home when his father was home. You both knew it was inevitable, that one day he would have to face him. But you knew he couldn't do it yet. He didn't want to. He wanted to just stay with you, forever. And you wished you could make it all go away. You've never seen this side of Kazuichi: vulnerable, sad, broken. But that was okay, because it meant that he trusted you enough to show you this side of him.
Early one morning, you had woken up before him. The early morning rays shown through the cracks of the blinds and laid upon you and your lover. He looked so pretty like this -- curled up against your side, a peaceful look on his face. His pink hair was a little messy, but you didn't mind because it just added to how lovely he looked. He looked as if everything was okay, as if nothing bad could ever hurt him.
You didn't want him to go back home to his abusive father. You didn't want him to hurt anymore. You wanted to grab his hand and run away with him so he would never hurt like this again. But you knew that it would happen, so you stopped worrying about the future and held him tightly in the present.
