Will You Marry Me?

"Anonymous!"

The bag-headed girl turned to shoot Telly a shy smile,"Hi, Telly."

"Did it hurt?"

She cocked her head to the side in confusion,"What do you mean? I'm not hurt?"

The boy shot her a sly smirk,"Did it hurt, when you fell from Heaven?"

Anonymous grimaced at the pick-up line, the boy dipping his head at her reaction. Embarrassment drowned his features as he hung his head,'I don't understand! That's a typical human pick-up line!''

His features showed panic as Anonymous walked away, giggling to herself.

Telly clutched a bundle of roses in one of his fists, a small box clutched in the other.

'This has got to work!' Telly thought to himself with determination.

"Telly? What are you wearing?" Anonymous asked, hands propped on her hips.

Telly looked down at the fancy tuxedo he was wearing, smoothing out a wrinkle,"What's wrong with it?"

She giggled as she shrugged, eyes widening as the red roses were thrust towards her,"I-I got these for you." Telly muttered, lowering himself down onto one knee,"Anonymous-" He opened the box he'd been holding, a plastic gumball machine ring glinting in the dim motel light,"Will you marry me?"

He anxiously awaited the girl's answer, shocked when she started laughing,"Telly instead of marraige, why don't we go out."

"Out?" The boy asked curiously, closing the ring box.

"Yea, out on a date."

'A DATE!' Telly thought excitedly,"Why didn't I think of that before!?!"

He dipped his head in embarrassment, realizing he'd just said his thoughts aloud.

Anonymous smiled shyly,"I'll see you Friday night?"

Telly nodded enthusiastically, watching the girl leave.

'Now I just need to get some of that green plant they hang above couples....'
