"Hi Ron!" (Y/N) said excited as she opened the number 12 door of Grimmauld Place. "You're early" she pointed.
"Uh- is that bad? Mum said I better be here a b-bit earlier b-because-"
"It's fine" (Y/N) said giggling at how nervous he was. "Come on in" she said stepping aside so he could come inside the house.
Ron stepped inside into a long hallway, lit by a large chandelier and gas lamps. On one side of the hallway was the dining room, which featured a dresser holding the Black family crest and china. At the end of the hallway were the stairs to the upper floors, decorated with a row of shrunken House-elves heads, mounted on the wall on plaques. To say that Ron was impressed was an understatement. This was probably the biggest house he'd ever been it, but it was also so abandoned and dark.
"Blood traitors! Filth, stains of dishonor, taint of shame on the house of my fathers!" he was snapped out of his thought when a portrait of an old lady started screaming at him.
"Give it a rest, grandma" (Y/N) said smirking knowing how the portrait hated it when she called her that.
"How dare you say that you're my grandchild you filthy blood traitor!"
"Don't mind her" (Y/N) said rolling her eyes and grabbing Ron's hand to lead him towards the stairs.
"Was that-?"
"My father's mother, yes" she explained. "She's outraged because we let anybody into the house. Half-bloods, muggle-borns, blood traitors" she said joking at the last part. When they reached the end of the hallway they stumbled upon the stairs to the upper floors, decorated with a row of shrunken House-elves heads, mounted on the wall on plaques. "Uh, those are... all the house-elves that have served the Black Family" (Y/N) said awkwardly as they made their way to the first floor.
Once they reached it, they went directly into the drawing room. The drawing room had long windows facing the street in front of the house, a large fireplace, a piano, and the tapestry of the Black family tree. Ron could see the spot where Sirius' name had been burned off and he noticed that (Y/N)'s name was never even placed in the tree.
"Stop being so nervous" he heard (Y/N) say all of the sudden.
"I'm not nervous" he said trying to sound convince but feeling his ears turn a shade of red.
"Yes, you are" she said giggling and stepping on her toes to give him a peck on the lips and making him a bit less nervous. Just a bit though.
"Y-you look very pretty tonight" he said trying to melt his nervousness away. "Oh, and these are for you" he said handing her the flowers he had in his hand.
"I was beginning to think you had brought them for my father" she mocked earning a glare from her boyfriend as she grabbed the flowers from his hand. "Thank you" she said kissing him again.
"Nasty brat, standing there, friend of Mudbloods and blood-traitors alike" the two of them pulled apart and turned to look at the door where Ron spotted a very old Elf walking in.
"That's Kreacher" (Y/N) explained. "He was... my grandmother's" she said rolling her eyes a little.
"Oh, my poor mistress, what would she say if she saw Kreacher serving him and his bastard child?" Kreacher said muttering more to himself than anybody else.
"What did he just say?" Ron said clenching his fist in anger.
"Don't listen to him. He still hasn't gotten over the fact that she died" (Y/N) explained to him.
"Mr. Black sent me to tell you that he'd be right down" Kreacher said throwing a nasty glare towards (Y/N) before he left the room.
"So, as you can see, it's quite rainbows and sunshine over here" she said smiling sarcastically at him.
The truth is she had always envied that Ron got to grow up at the Burrow. Everything was so cozy there and everyone was so nice. It was the complete opposite of this place. As grateful as she was to have her father back, she just wished this house could portray the harmony of the Burrow.
"Hey, don't say it like that" Ron said lifting her chin up with his finger. "I mean, the portrait it's a bit loud and granted the heads of the elves are a bit creepy and I could bring that Elf to Hermione and I bet even she'd stop the whole S.P.E.W. thing" he said making her laugh a little. "But this is still your home" he said kissing her forehead. "And besides, you even have a piano" he said pulling her towards it. "Do you know how to play?"
"Um, a bit" (Y/N) said shyly as they sat down. She giggled when Ron tried to play something. She gently grabbed his hand and played softly on a few keys. Ron turned to look at her as she smiled and kept on playing. When (Y/N) noticed he was looking at her she turned around and placed another soft kiss on his lips until they were interrupted.
"Well, hello" the two of them broke apart when they heard the voice. "I thought I heard the door" Remus Lupin said smiling kindly. Ron instantly stood up and walked over to his former professor. "Hello, Ron" he said offering him his hand.
"Hello, Professor" Ron said getting even more nervous but shaking his hand either way. He knew Professor Lupin lived there and even if he already knew him, he was like (Y/N)'s second father.
"Ron, I'm not your teacher anymore. You can call me Remus" he said politely.
"Oh, alright" Ron said letting out a nervous sigh.
"So, this is the famous Ron Weasley" the three of them turned to look at the door where Sirius Black stood.
If Ron's nervousness had left, it was completely back now. He knew (Y/N)'s father would be intimidating. Fred and George had mocked him for an entire week when he told them that he was going to meet him. Harry kept on telling him that he shouldn't be nervous about it because Sirius was really cool. Easy for him to say, he's not dating his daughter.
"Mr. Weasley" Sirius said walking over to the redhead and offering his hand much like Remus had. "I've heard so much about you" he said as Ron shook his hand.
"I-it's very nice to meet you, Sir" he said nervously. "I've heard so much about you too" he continued. "You know, from Harry and (Y/N) not like on the n-news or anything" he blurted out making Sirius raise his eyebrow at him. "I mean- uh- n-not that I ever b-believed what they said, I always knew y-you were innocent a-and-"
"Ron, stop talking" (Y/N) said sweetly knowing how he got whenever he rambled.
"Right, uh- sorry, sir" he apologized as Remus tried really hard not to laugh at the nervous boy.
"Shall we go into the dining room?" he suggested and (Y/N) smiled gratefully at him.
Remus and Sirius went into the kitchen to get dinner since Remus insisted Ron didn't have to help and (Y/N) agreed.
"He hates me" Ron whispered to (Y/N) once they were sat down.
"He doesn't hate you" (Y/N) said rolling her eyes.
"I don't like him" Sirius whispered to Remus in the kitchen.
"Sirius, you don't even know him" Remus said rolling his eyes. "Ron is a perfectly respectable young man. He comes from a nice family whom (Y/N) loves very much and they all adore her and need I remind you that he's been not only an amazing friend and boyfriend to (Y/N), but he's also been with Harry all the way?"
"You saw how he looked at me" Ron kept on whispering looking at the door to make sure the adults weren't coming yet.
"That's because he's trying this whole intimidating father thing! I told him not to do it but he doesn't mean it! I promise he'll come around! Just give him some time to get used to you" she said with pleading eyes.
"Do you reckon I can scare the boy into staying away from (Y/N)?"
"Sirius, no" Remus warned him. "Look, I know it's hard for you that (Y/N) has a boyfriend and that she's growing up, mostly because you weren't there to see it. But now you're here and you can see how truly happy Ron makes her" he informed him. "Promise me you won't do anything stupid" he begged. "Please? For (Y/N)?"
"Please? For me?" (Y/N) said making her big puppy eyes she knew Ron couldn't say no to.
At same time, Sirius and Ron answered with the same exasperated tone. "Fine, but I'm still not completely sure about this!"
(Y/N) threw her arms around Ron and kissed his cheek. "I love you" she whispered.
"I love you too" Ron said smiling as Remus and Sirius walked back into the dining room with dinner.
(Y/N) smiled across the table at Remus both hoping that this was going well. Unfortunately for both of them, they were wrong. Sirius kept on bombarding Ron with questions making the redhead more nervous with each one and causing him to ramble with awkward conversations in return. Even if (Y/N) and Remus kept on trying to help him it was obvious that Sirius was intimidating the poor boy, and Ron was aware of it.
"So, is anyone ready for dessert?" Remus said interrupting Sirius' next question and throwing him a glare. "(Y/N), why don't you help me, dear?"
"What? Me? And leave them here alone?" she whispered next to Remus.
"Kitchen" he warned her and she obliged. Remus followed her but turned around before he walked in and looked at Sirius. 'Be nice!' he mouthed and Sirius rolled his eyes.
"So, um... Ron" Sirius said looking at the nervous boy. "You're the... youngest one of your brothers, right?" he asked looking at Remus as if to see if he approved the question and he nodded before he walked into the kitchen.
"Uh, that's right, sir. There's my brother Bill, who works for Gringotts, my brother Charlie who works with Dragons in Romania, then there's Percy who just started working at the Ministry of Magic, um, then Fred and George who are still at school, then me and well, Ginny" he said feeling a bit less nervous.
"Look, kid, I'm going to be honest with you" he said making Ron even more nervous if that was possible. "I don't like you. Not because you're a bad person because I know you're not. I've always admired your family and I know your parents are great people and the fact that all of you are giving me a second chance means more to me than you can imagine. So it's not you, is that... you're the guy dating my daughter. (Y/N) means everything to me, do you know that?"
"I do, sir" Ron answered quickly.
"I missed her childhood and that's something I'll never forgive myself for. I missed watching her grow. I missed the first time she could do magic. I didn't see her leave on her first year on the Hogwarts Express and I don't know, I guess it's just... hard for me to accept the fact that my little girl is growing up" he admitted.
"I understand, sir" Ron said sadly. He didn't know if this meant that Sirius was going to forbid (Y/N) to keep on going out with him.
"However, that being said" he continued and Ron looked up at him again. "Remus and Harry have told me how you always looked out for (Y/N) and how your family took both her and Harry in and..." he said sighing. "Harry has mentioned endless time how much you love her. I admit I was hoping he was exaggerating a bit but... I could see that today" he said with a small smile. "So, it's going to get some time for me to get used to the fact that my little girl is all grown up but... I have to admit that... I actually think you're quite perfect for her. I see how happy you make her and well... that's really enough for me" he said shocking Ron a little.
"S-sir, I know that I may have said a bunch of stupid things tonight, because I do that whenever I'm really nervous and well, to tell you the truth you make me really nervous. Not because you're Sirius Black- I mean, you are b-but well, b-because you're (Y/N)'s father a-and she loves you s-so much and I p-promise you sir that I love (Y/N) with all my heart and I would never do anything to hurt her a-and I may not come from the richest family or I may not be the best student but I do know that I am madly in love with your daughter and I only want to make her happy" he managed to say without stuttering in the end.
Sirius had to admit he was a bit impressed at how stern Ron sounded and he smiled at him. "That's really all I needed to hear, son" he said winking at him. "And you can call me Sirius, by the way" he said making Ron smile in relief.
Remus and (Y/N) walked back into the dining room with the Treacle Tart in their hands. Both of them knew that they had probably heard the conversation. (Y/N) sat back next to Ron and he held her hand. "Treacle tart?" he said excited.
"Yes, I know it's your favorite" she replied. "It's dad's favorite too" she said with a small smirk.
"That's right" Sirius said. "I may have misjudged your boyfriend, sweetheart. He's alright I guess" he said admitting it and ignoring Remus' smirk towards him. (Y/N) kissed Ron's cheek before she rested her head on his shoulder. "Just remember that I did escape from Azkaban, kid" he threatened Ron making him pale a bit more.
"Dad!"
