Smile

Chapter 2

RING RING RING, it was my alarm, I turned it off and rolled out of bed. It was 6:30 so I ate breakfast, went for a shower and then got ready for school. Today I was wearing a maroon coloured crop jumper, black skinny jeans, with cuts in the knees, the original adidas and I was using a cute grey bag. I did my eyebrows, put on some mascara and eyeliner and left my hair in its natural curls. I then said bye to my mum and headed to school. It's just me and my mum now, my two older sisters decided to stay in America for college and my father left us when I was born.

I was walking to school when someone called my name, I turned around and saw Joe. He started jogging towards me, while I stood and smiled. After he caught up we started walking and talking. When we got to school we started walking to our form class, when three of the most popular girls in year 8 came up to us, Abbey, the leader of the group, faced me and she said, "look, I don't know why you even go here, no body likes you and you really have no friends." I looked down, Joe spoke for me, "back off, at least Maddie has a life, unlike you." The girl walked off crying, but I just looked at Joe, smiled at him gratefully and hugged him. Then it kicked in, we are at school and everyone is watching us. I let go, even though I didn't want too, but I said sorry, he smiled and said it was okay, then we carried on walking to class.

When the bell rang I became really nervous, it was my first proper day of highschool. Firstly we went into form and Miss Blackstan took the roll and things like that, then we headed off to class. My first subject was science, as was Joes. We walked together. When we entered the classroom Joe's mates motioned for him to sit with them, but instead he stayed with me, which I a, so grateful for.

The rest of the day flew past and I was enjoying it a lot. I even made lots of new friends!

It is now week 9, our last week and for a matter of fact, our last day! Well, at least for the term. Me and Joe have become much closer now, he is the most amazing friend I ever could have! Right now I'm sitting next to him, in math. RING, it was the bell! We all got up and rushed out, having a break for two weeks is something every student was longing for. I grabbed everything out of my locker and started walking with Joe, he was coming over and we were going to watch a movie or something. When we got to my house no one was home, so we chucked our bags in my room and went to watch something on Netflix. I put on my all time favourite, Pretty Little Liars!
"I don't understand how people like this show." Joe moaned, unimpressed.
"It's a great show Joe, you just need to get into it." I replied, I looked at Joe and he had a puzzled look on his face, I sat back and giggled.
