Megan's pov:

I've been ready for an hour and a half now and Liam still isn't out of bed yet.

Does he know how important this day is to me? I walked up the creaking stair case, made my way to his room and loudly swung open his door.

"Liam wake up today is the opening day, there's no time for sleeping." I said as I ripped the duvet off of his body.

"I thought that was tomorrow," he mumbled into the pillow.

"Nope so get your ass in gear and get in the shower, I'll be downstairs making pastries." I say as I began to make my way out of his room.

"Alright," he groaned, but from the corner of my eye I could see him pulling the blanket back over his top of him.

I skipped back down the winding staircase to find Amy and Niall already baking some cupcakes.

Yes, I live in the same place my bakery is located.

Liam and I sleep on the top floor and my bakery Is on the main floor.

Liam hasn't always lived here though he came to me about four months ago asking to get a job due to the fact he lost his job after two years of working there.

I already knew his whole situation on how both his parents passed in a traffic accident a couple years back.

So I offered him me guest bedroom as well.

Now you may be thinking that was awfully generous to some complete stranger, but Liam, he's no stranger I've known him my whole live, I grew up with him, he's my best friend.

So now it's just the four of us Liam, Amy, Niall, and I living out my lifelong dream of running my own bakery and todays the opening day.

"Holy crap is he still not ready!" I say angrily as I sprint up the stairs.

I entered his room to find him once again fast asleep.

"Liam if you don't get up now I'll sit on you," I say crossing my arms.

"Do it, I dare you." he said not even opening his eyes. I did exactly that; jumped on him and then sat there.

He quickly flipped me over so I was lying down now, and he began to tickle my sides.

"Liam Stop!" I screamed, but he never let up. After me screaming for a good 5 minutes Liam finally stopped.

I opened my eyes to find Niall standing in the doorway. Well this I awkward.

"Ugh... Meg there is someone on the phone for you," he said and then smirked and laughed when he walked out of the room.

I hit Liam in the chest and then made my way back downstairs to get the phone call.

Liam's Pov

"Meg can we take a break? We've been baking for three hours straight." I complained and gave her my best puppy dog eyes.

"Fine. Liam you come with me to get some coffee's from Tim's and Amy make sure Niall doesn't eat any of the food." She said and I chuckled at the Niall comment.

When Meg and i walked outside there was already a lineup forming.

There were only 6 people, but we still hade an hour and a half till opening time, so that's pretty good.

The car ride there was pretty silent until Meg asked me a question I've been thinking about for a while now.

"Random question, but what are you thinking about for the future? You know what do you really want to do?" She asked.

"Well i was actually thinking about the army," i said as i focused the attention on my fingers.

I knew she wouldn't be to happy about this, but it's something i really want to do.

"Oh..." she said looking a bit sad. "Well you better write me every day if you end up actually going." She said completely serious.

"Okay" I chuckle a little. "No you have to promise me, pinky promise." She said sticking her pinky, but still paying attention to the road.

I linked my pinky with her's which brought a smile to her face. "I promise." I repeated to her.

We had finally arrived at Tim Hortons and the monotone voice spoke to is through the speaker.

"Hi can we have two large double doubles, and two large French vanillas please." Meg placed our order.

"Alright that will be $5.78, proceed to window one," she said with a dry tone.

Once we got all our coffee and paid we headed back home.
