Chapter 17

Camila's POV

After being asleep for what feels like a total of 5 minutes, it's safe to say that I have never felt so drained.

Mentally and physically drained.

There's a soft but firm knock at my door and my mum walks in to my room. She looks at me and then round the room. She sighs and sits next to me on the bed; she knows something's wrong.

"Karla, what is the matter?", she worriedly asks. I just put my head down and play with my fingers. "And don't lie to me because Lauren came early this morning to see you. Why?", she questions.

What am I supposed to say? My ex boyfriend came to my window early this morning? My best friend who is secretly my girlfriend is worried about me? I can't be dealing with this right now.

"Where did Lauren go?", is all I say back.
"Lauren went home because you were tired, she said she left you a note on your desk", she replied with a disappointed face.

She lets out another sigh as she stands up ready to leave. She starts towards the door but she turns back to say one more thing.

"You know you can tell me anything, don't you?", she says with a sympathetic smile which leaves me feeling bad.

I think I'm going to tell my parents.

Lauren's POV

Normani: What is it?

Dinah Jane: I'm in girl.

I knew Dinah would be in straight away, she loves anything like this. She already knows it involves violence, drama and a good teaching.

Lauren:
It's about Camila. Something's happened and I need help with something. Please?

Dinah Jane:
WHAT? WHO? Why hasn't she told me? I swear to God Lauren what is it?

Lauren:
Chill, she's okay. Everything is okay. But... I'm going to kill Austin.

Dinah Jane:
*we're. We're going to kill him. You don't even need to explain what he's done, I hate him, I'm up for killing him. I told Camila but she never, ever listened.

Normani:
I'm in.

Lauren:
You are?

Normani:
Of course, she means a lot to you... plus, I wouldn't let you get arrested on your own.

Dinah Jane:
Means a lot to you? Am I missing something here?

Lauren:
No! Of course she does, she's my best friend.

Normani:
Yeah... what she said.

Dinah Jane:
Normani - I'm Dinah, Camila's cousin, nice to meet you.

Normani:
Dinah - I'm Normani, Lauren's (sort of) cousin, nice to meet you.

Lauren changed the group name to "Norminah"

Normani:
Norminah? Why girl?

Dinah Jane:
It's our names together; like a ship name. I like it 😜

I think I'm going to regret this chat name. Dinah is going to be flirting with Normani all the time. Dinah has already told me how hot she is when I was showing her and Camila a photo of Normani and I when we went on holiday together with our parents.
