This notebook was found in 1945, in an unmarked building in Frankfurt Am Main, Germany.  It was covered with dried blood and mud, but most of the contents in it remained readable. It belonged to a Dr. Austerlitz, who seemed to be in charge of the experiment I'm going to talk about, but the notebook contained several different hand writings from who I assume were other scientists, but their names weren't found in the journal.

The following entries were wrote by scientists and doctors, led by Dr. Austerlitz

June 5th, 1944

Dr. Austerlitz: 7 subjects found for my experiment. 3 males, four females. All in fairly healthy conditions. They were given a choice between hard labour or being test subjects. Preparing them for testing today.

June 6th, 1944

Around 7 PM

Scientist 1: All test subjects were separated into rooms. The rooms have been painted white and are soundproof. Subjects were strapped down to chairs and their eyelids were tapped up so they didn't blink. Subject 2, a young female's eyelids kept slipping. Dr. Austerliz stapled them up. She screamed  and small trickles of blood came down her face. We made them stare at the wall for aprox. 2 hrs. Subject 5, a teenage male, seem to be rather absent minded. Stared at nothing for 30 mins then returned to normal state. End of test today.

June 8th, 1944

Scientist 2: Sory if itsn't readable. Must rite fast. Dr. A was found screming at sub.5, yelling "stay away" while aiming gun at him. sub.5 was in normal state. Dr. A was sudated. All subs. still healthy. Sub 2 light headed from blod loss. No testing unti Dr. A is acting normaly.

June 9th, 1944

Dr. Austerlitz: I apologize for the inconvenience I caused yesterday. Subject 5 appeared to be in a mental state, and was foaming at the mouth for unknown reasons. He attempted to attack me. My colleagues were confused as they watch me, and sedated me, assuring me I needed rest and was overly tired. Testing went out as planned. Subject 3, a 25 year old female, had brain surgery. She did not expire while I studied her brain. Was sewn up and sent back to her room . Other subects were restrained again and stared at the wall for two hours. All seem stable.

June 10th, 1944

Dr. Austerlitz: Oh God, someone hElp me. All attacked me. SHaking. Pleas help.

June 11th, 1944

Scientist 3: Dr. Austerlitz is sick. He was found stabbing Subject 5  with a knife, while crying and shaking in fear. We restrained and sedated him once again. Luckily, Subject 5 is in fair condition. Dr. Austerlitz has been locked in his own room, under sedation and is currently asleep. We've yet to find the cause for his outbursts. Previously, we thought it was lack of sleep, but there seems to be something else causing it. All subjects are still sane and in a fair physical state.

June 13th, 1944

Scientist 4: Subject 3 is deceased. She began vomiting and twitching uncontrollably. She screamed and yelled for hours, then passed out from exhaustion. She died around 5 PM. Dr. Austerlitz is under sedation once again. We won't let him out until tomorrow. We cannot have another outburst from him, in fear he will murder a test subject.

June 14th, 1944

Dr. Austerlitz: Again, I apologize for my recent fits.  I am feeling more rested, although the nauseating feeling in my stomach won't go away. Subject 5 keeps starring at me with a blank expression, sometimes his lips curl up into a smirk. I avoid looking any of them in the eye. My colleagues have been giving me strange looks, and some have suggested having a doctor look at me. Nonsense, they should have one looking at the damn creatures that won't stop bothering me.

Same day, around 11 PM

Scientist 2:  Dr. A has attacked Subject 5 once again. He jumped on top of him, screaming and yelling while scratching and tearing at his face. Two scientists attempted to hold him down, but he was successful before we finally restrained him. Subject 5's face was....It didn't look like a human face anymore. His eyes were a deep purple, almost black and swollen shut. His skin was hanging by threads in several places, especially his cheeks. Almost all of his bottom teeth were knocked out. Blood was everywhere. A bit got on this page, I apologize for that, but I can't really clean it. He screamed at the a few other subjects, saying "I WON'T LET YOU TAKE ME" over and over again until we knocked him and locked him in his room. All subjects are sane. Subject 5 was buried behind the building.

June 15, 1944

Scientist 3: We're considering leaving this experiment. Dr. Austerlitz is not in any condition to continue this. A doctor came over and examined him, only to say that he was simply suffering from exhaustion and was probably overworked.  No testing today.

June 16th, 1944

Scientist 4: Dr. A has attacked subjects 7 and 4. They are both okay, but have cuts on their throats, arms, and cheeks. We're starting to fear for our own safety.

Later, around 7 PM

We've made the decision to leave as soon as possible.

June 17th, 1944

Dr. A: Someon help us. PLEASE SOMEO     HELP  WE    NE

Same day

Subjects 4, 7, and 6 are dead. Dr. A can't be found. Blood in his office. Subject 4's arm was found on his bed. It's appeared to be chewed on.

(Writing found ineligible, blood was covering the lower half of this page)

Scientist 5: Dr. A has murdered one of the colleagues and was found ripping flesh off his stomach, and proceeding to chew on it, smacking his lips loudly. Was restrained and heavily sedated. The remaining subjects will be set free. To anyone who finds this notebook, I beg you, please burn it. We'll be killed if they find out what we did. We're not saying where we're going, in fear of being found. Dr. A will not be going with us.

June 18th, 1944

Scientist 1: We've placed a needle in Dr. A's arm, which will keep him sedated until our departure. God knows what'll happen when it's empty, but we sure as hell won't be here to find out. We buried our colluge behind the building. The walls in his office, and in several rooms are permanently blood stained. We hope authorities find Dr. A soon, before he escapes. We've packed up and bought plane tickets for the remaining subjects. I never wanted to be part of this damn, sick, thing anyway. I asked Subject 1, a teenage female about Dr. A's actions, and these are her exact words:

"We never did anything out of the ordinary, none of us even resisted. He just seemed to go pale whenever he saw us, like he was afraid we'd take over and kill him. When I heard him attack Subject 5, it was like he started attacking him first or something, like it was self defense! But he couldn't have done anything, he wasn't that strong. He just.....went mad."

After talking about this with fellow colleagues, we have come to the conclusion that he was never in a healthy mental state. Pray, whoever finds this book, take my warning, and don't go inside. Avoid this building. Burn this book. Don't look for us.
