There she was again. The white wolf, she wasn't any ordinary wolf though..there was something different about her that I was trying to figure out. She cautiously stepped throughout the forest placing her paws carefully as she moved silently. The only sound that could be heard was her nervous breath.
But she stopped and listened intently to sounds around her, birds chirping, the distant sound of running water and the slight breeze that shook the tree tops. The earth beneath her paws was pure and felt good. Then she put her black nose to the ground as she sniffed, her sense of smell being very strong and could pick up anything. She continued to sniff but got nothing that seemed out of the ordinary, just a rabbit that crossed its path here not too long ago. Then moving onto a tree she could smell an old territory marking from another animal that she couldn't quite distinguish since the scent was so old.
She then continued on. Her piercing brown eyes gazed at her surroundings..trees..and rocks was what she could see. Picking up the pace of her walking she moved onto a trot until she came to a stop again at a large boulder, it was the biggest she has ever came upon. But that was not the reason that she stopped, she lifted her nose into the air and smelled a strong sent of another wolf..or was it wolves?
Why was it that she couldn't have sensed them before..? The wind must have changed directions, she then looked around to see any oncoming threats, but before she could do anything else she heard a low growl..
She suddenly reacted to the sound and moved her body to the direction it was coming from. She then knew...a massive black wolf stood at the top of the boulder, his hair was risen and his great white teeth shone in the light. His yellow eyed pierced through her as he continued to growl. But before she could react two more came from behind him, they too had the same expression as the great black wolf. The white wolf knew she was in great trouble..she was deciding either to show submission or to not seem too vulnerable and stand her ground..her choice was left undecided. She bared her teeth back as she snarled at them, but the other wolves were not phased of her warning. Instead the black wolf leaped down from the big rock as he slowly approached her.
He bared his teeth even more as his steps came closer to her, she slowly took a step back as the black wolf came closer...and closer, his growl becoming more louder. The white wolf still stood her ground..she then lurched forward towards the black wolf as she snapped at him, she just missed his nose as the black wolf was quick and moved back. She then quickly turned around as she bolted off to try and get as much distance between her and the other wolves.
Her powerful legs pulled her forward as her paws pounded the ground in a desperate escape from the threat. She looked behind her to see the three wolves pursuing after her. She then ran even faster in an attempt to lose them. Their loud barks filled the forest as the sound made her heart pound even more..
Their barking became louder as they started to catch her..but as she thought it was all about to end, a vision flashed in her mind..it was of a boy, his hair was dyed blonde, his skin was also covered in designs, but it was not that what caught her attention of him..it was his glowing blue eyes that sent shivers down your spine when he looked at you. His image was very prominent in her mind but then suddenly his image flashed back and forth with that of a black wolf..
It was when the white wolf realized that she had returned to reality and was staring straight into the black wolf's eyes..something about that boy in her vision had seemed very familiar in the black wolf. Why the white wolf suddenly had a vision of a boy and now was staring straight into the black wolfs eyes, it is very strange indeed. But like I said before...this wolf is different, why didn't she just howl in despair for in need of a mate like a regular wolf? I don't know..but now both wolves were now standing face to face, how the white wolf stopped running and now was staring straight into the eyes of the black wolf, was indeed puzzling.
She and him just stood there, staring...she then heard a voice in her head "we stand together now..forever" it was like someone had just whispered it in her ear. The black wolf stood silently with his eyes gazing into hers, she didn't understand why he was standing there like that, because just minutes before it seemed he was going to try to rip her throat out. All of this was very confusing to her, many questions filled her head. Like where are the other two wolves? Why did I have a vision of that boy? What did "we stand together now forever" mean? The questions were endless when suddenly things to began to quicken.
Time began to go faster as the white wolf and black wolf became closer and then there was an anger between these two packs of wolves..things started to go bad. The black wolf and white wolf became inseparable and then there was the white wolf with her white fur as it slowly became red, suddenly there was battle..growls, snarls and other sounds became louder and louder, the white wolf stood as she watched other wolves fight as the ground became stained red and she heard screams and whimpers, she watched as the black wolf was being attacked, she tried to run to save him but was frozen in place, she watched as his attacker slowly took the life out of him..and that is when she screamed..but it wasn't the white wolfs scream..it was mine.
