I woke up at 10:23 AM. I opened my eyes to see a pair of ocean blue eyes staring at me, quite closely, if I might add. I shrieked, trying to move aside, but with my grace, I got tangled in my covers and rolled off the bed, and landed, hard. "Owie" I groaned, rubbing my bottom. I heard Everett, the owner of the eyes, laughing his head off. "What," I said as calmly as I could, "Are you doing in my room?"

"I was told by Aidan that I had to wake you up. By the way, you drool a lot when you sleep." He said, still laughing a bit.

"Well, I was drooling over you." I replied, ever so silently.

"What did you say?" Everett asked.

"Nothing." Mentally, I cursed my mouth. It says too many things that it is not supposed to.

"So anyways, Aidan is having a hangover, of course, I gave him some Advils. He's awake and downstairs watching Sports Network with a puke bucket nearby. He said he is too lazy to do anything. That brings me to my next question: do you want to make breakfast, or do I have to? I mean I've been here enough times to know my way around the place." He stated.

"You are making breakfast. I am gonna get a shower, get dressed, and do my hair and makeup. See you in like an hour." I said as I started walking towards my bathroom.

"Well, Aidan said he wants you to cook anyway, so...." He sprinted into my bathroom and grabbed everything that he could carry; including my brushes, hair dryer, and some makeup. After this, he made a mad dash out of my room.

I ran out after him. He ran through the halls, and sooner than I knew it, down the stairs. I sped up because I've slid down the rail SOOO many times! I remember when Aidan and I were little, we would each take a rail and race down the stairs. Since I was just epically amazing at this, I was going to do it again.

I backed up in the hall more and saw that Everett was already halfway down. I made a running start and then jumped onto the rail and landed on my butt. Of course, the perfect landing hurt a bit, but what do I care? My inertia kept me moving forward and I was going super-speed! As I neared the end, I wasn't slowing down. I tried to scoot to a stop, but I was going nowhere.

As soon as I knew it, I was in the air. This lasted for 2.5 seconds. As soon as I left the staircase, I was on the hard floor with a tingling sensation in my lower left leg. I was scared to look down because I had no clue to what had happened.

"Whoa, Aiko, are you ok? You literally flew off of the rail-" he stopped mid sentence, dropped all of my stuff, and looked down at my leg. I reluctantly looked and almost got sick over what I saw. My foot was going the complete wrong way.

Everett ran over and picked me up.

"Aidan! Get your ass out here! We gotta go! Aiko broke her ankle!" Everett yelled into the living room.

Aidan walked in, carrying his puke bucket, and looked over. He just stood there looking. I didn't know if it was truly that bad, but I can tell you, amidst all of this, my ankle hurt like Hell.

Without another word, he ran over to the door and on the hanger, grabbed my car keys. From what I could here, Aidan followed us outside.

Everett safely placed me in the back seat buckled me in and he and Aidan hopped into the driver's seat and passenger's seat, respectively.

"How did you do it this time, Aiko?" Aidan asked. I have broken a good amount of bones in my lifetime thanks to my wonderful grace.

"Well," I started, grimacing in pain from my ankle, "Everett took my stuff so I chased him to get it. I slid down the railing on the stairs and landed completely wrong." I was still in shock at the time, but was starting to realize what had happened. At this point in time, tears started to rush down my face.

"Are you crying, Aiko?" Aidan asked.

"What? No." I hurried up and said. I quickly wiped all of the tears off of my face and tried my hardest not to cry about the excruciating pain in my ankle. I didn't want Everett to see me cry, ever, because I was a hideous one at that.

"OHHH. Ok. I see." I saw Aidan's face contorting so he wouldn't laugh. He realized why I wouldn't let any more tears fall and just returned to driving.

We arrived at the hospital about 15 minutes later, the absolute worst 15 minutes of my life. Sure, I have broken bones before, but never as bad as this one. Aidan and Everett hopped out of the car and came to the back to get me out. Aidan picked me up and walked hurriedly into the hospital.
