Fall in to Love [Liam Payne Fanfic]

Goodbye

All five members of One Direction sat in a private waiting room, anxiously waiting for news from the doctor.

Liam sat with his head in his hands remembering the day he and Ali had met.

It was a cold, snowy day in London.

Liam had been there visiting some old friends and Ali had been there on a research trip.

Liam had noticed a tall girl in a purple jacket walking about 10 feet ahead of him. But Ali hadn't seen Liam behind her.

Ali hadn't been paying attention to where she was walking when she slipped on a patch of black ice.

Liam had seen her slip and ran up and caught her from behind.

"Thank you!" She smiled, not really knowing what had just happened. She brushed herself off and turned around.

As soon as their eyes met, they new it was fate.

The boys did their best to keep the recent events off Liam's mind. So they tried to distract him with football.

Harry was in mid-sentence when Liam half-mindedly blurted out "I was gonna propose today. I was gonna call her up on that stage and ask her to be my wife. Right there. With everyone there to se how much I truly loved her."

Liam began to cry. As Louis started to try and comfort him, a nurse ran up to them.

"Mr.Payne! Mr.Payne! We don't have much time left! You need to come with me now!"

Before Liam had time to blink, the nurse dragged him to his feet and was running in to a room down the hall.

Liam quickly entered the room with a great deal of sadness.

He looked at the familiar girl on a gurny in the center of the room with misty eyes. Ali was twitching violently in her unconscious state of shock.

She was covered in cuts and bruises that looked too painful to bare. And across her tiny forehead a large gash spilled blood from where her head had hit the pavement.

Liam was able to manage a hold on her hand as the doctors tried to her. They did what the could but nothing worked.

All the noise and confusion broke to silence as a long beep rang through the air.

Liam put the dainty hand he held to his lips and kissed it as he cried.

That beep meant that the love of his life could no longer be his.
