It was another normal day on the alpaca farm in Kittery, Maine.
“Hey, Miranda,” said Brad. Brad was a new worker on this farm. He had pretty good skills for someone recently hired.
“Hello, fellow laborer,” Miranda said in a jolly tone. Miranda had been here for a couple years. She enjoyed it quite a bit. She carried the huge package that came in the mail over to her boss, Felix.
“Hey there, Miranda. What’s this?” he asked.
“Something that just came in the mail. It’s for you,” She responded.
“Thanks, Miranda,” he said sounding pleased.
“ No problem, boss,” she said sounding startled by his kindness.
She handed the box to him.
She started out of the stable area towards a hungry looking alpaca.
“Wait Miranda!” he yelled out to her.
She glided back towards Felix.
“Yes?” She said feeling pestered.
“Can you open the package and feed it to the alpacas over there?” he requested and pointed towards stable 8.
“It’s some new food I got them. I think they needed something new to begin this wonderful autumn year,” he said with joy.
“Sure. What’s it called?” she asked.
“An Alpaca’s Dream,” he said, dazed. “Hm. Strange. But it’s supposedly best in the east coast,”
“ I would say so,” she responded. “Anyway, I better get working on this,” she walked away towards stable 8.
“Ok, see you later,” Felix yelled out to her.
She started pouring the food into the alpaca’s feeding bowls. They darted towards the new arrival of their food. You could see in their fuzzy faces that they were immediately enticed by this change of meal. They chowed right into this divine new nourishment.
Miranda watched as the alpacas chomped into their food. She glanced over her shoulder to see people already showing up for the animals.
“Boss, it’s time to open the gates. You ready?” she yelled across the farm to Felix.
“Whenever you’re ready, Miranda!” he cried back to her.
She pushed the gate open and took the peoples money as they poured in. Crowd after crowd of people plowed through the gates to see the majestic alpacas. She saw kids with balloons, lollipops, toys and more . After all the (initial) mayhem had settled, she proceeded back over to the stables, grabbed the bag,and poured more food into their bowls. All the alpacas loved this new food. They gobbled it up in minutes. After she finished feeding it to all the alpacas, she noticed Chris brooming up hair off the floor across the stables.
“Hey, Chris. Can you broom up some hair over there?” She pointed towards a pile of alpaca fur.
“Sure! It will be a second,” he exclaimed.
“Kay. Thanks Chris.” She turned away back towards the house to go get some lemonade. It was a humid day outside.
He glanced over at the heap of alpaca hair. It was colors of browns, whites, and blacks. He threw the hair he already had into trash can and trudged over to stable 8.
“ Hey there, buddy! How you doin’,Tyrone.”
This was one of Chris’ favorite alpacas. Tyrone was sweet and fuzzy against Chris’ skin.
