Chapter 5 -
Beep Beep Beep
" Shut up " I growled , I honestly can't take another day of school.
" Wakey wakey rise and shine ! " yelled Alex, that little sh... I felt a cold substance spread on my body. He did not just pour a bucket of cold water on me , as I opened my eyes I saw my squirter of a brother standing with a bucket next to my bed .
" You're dead " I said slowly . As soon as I said it he began to sprint out the room , in our house I am the master of revenge . My brothers have always tried to get one up on me but in the end only I can win. *Cue evil laugh that sends shivers down your spine * Since that pitiful trick woke me up, I took a shower and quickly got dressed for the day ahead . Unfortunately .
Gwarrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Someone's hungry . As I hopped down the stairs I smelt the whiff of blueberry pancakes . As well as being a pie queen, my mum was also the princess of pancakes . No exaggeration, they were the best pancakes ever to flip the earth .
" Morning " I sang cheerfully
" Morning " a chorus of voices from the kitchen sang back
" Luke, what are you doing here so early ? " I asked my friend
" Didn't want a repeat of yesterday " he winked , while mum gave me an approving look. I swear she will never learn. I picked up a few pancakes for the journey and said goodbye to my ' lovely ' family .
" So what do you have today " Luke asked as we entered his car .
" You know the usual..."
" Creative writing? " he asked , I nodded .
" What are we planning this year for Em's birthday ? " I asked
" Surprise party ? " Every year me and Luke throw Em a surprise party and every year she still has the same surprised look on her face . She's obviously not the sharpest pencil in the stationary set... I'm joking . Maybe...
As we parked into our usual spot in the school's car park , I noticed Noah waiting outside the front doors .
" I'm gonna go inside now , you coming ? " Luke asked, I shaked my head .
"I'll meet up with you in the tutor room " he nodded and walked off. So I went to greet my newly acquaintance .
" Morning field " I called cheerfully , at first he couldn't see who said it then turned to me and pulled an annoyed look.
" What do you want? " Nice to see you too I thought.
" Jeez . Who peed in your cornflakes this morning ? " I replied, quite impressed with my comeback.
" You. Now get lost I'm waiting for someone. " Charming . Who said chivalry was dead .
" Noweey" I heard a voice shout from behind me .
