*Madys POV*
I'm asleep when I hear my mom yell,
"Wake up!" Mom yells
"What!?" I yell back
"Last day of school honey!" Mom tells me and I groan
"Do I have to go?" I ask
"Yes and besides were going to be leaving soon to start my new job." Mom explains
"Ok....." I sigh, getting up
" Oh, by the way, honey, you have 5 minutes to get ready or you'll be late for the bus..!" She said and I quickly get ready, get my backpack and left
As I was walking, I had been thinking about the whole moving situation. I mean I don't want to go but I also don't want to make my mom sad. I love her too much to make her feel upset. We have a few days to pack before we head to Cali. I'll have to leave all my friends behind and make new ones and I can't believe I'm almost 18 in a couple of months. When I turn 18, I don't have to live with my mom. I want to because all we have is each other and leaving her would be really hard.
*Afterschool/time skip*
Once I got off the bus, I already saw a truck moving our stuff to the new house.
"Hey hun!" she squeals
"Hi, mom." I say
"Are you hungry?" Mom asks and I nod
"Hey, Mom...?" I ask, getting her attention
"Yes, sweetie?" She asks me
"What kind of job did you get?" I question unknowingly
"Uh..." She sighs, knowing she has to tell me the truth
So I sit down and listen to what she has to say.
"Honey, we left because I can't live in our old house anymore. " she explains
I begin to tear up as I know what she's talking about and it hurts me knowing that she felt that way.
"Oh honey, I didn't mean to make you cry, but we needed to move and start fresh. I wanted your life to get better and for you to be happy once again." My mom tells me
I start crying.
She holds me for a while. I slowly start calming down. After some time, I tell her that I'm going to bed. After all that crying, I'm tired as hell. I go into the bathroom to brush my teeth. Then I get into my pj's, I get into bed and sleep.
