the history of meirus

Different elven races divided into four districts.. this ongoing war has been occurring since the first era.

Most of the planet is covered in land, there is barely any ice and the amount of water is scarce. There was always a very valued amount of water, for the entire planet was covered with a ginormous island.
Water was not needed though, for elves only needed to live off of what they were blessed with. As the Light elves were blessed with light, they needed it in order to survive like plants.

The creation of the planet was thanks to their goddess, Mei. The name Meirus refers to "Lady Mei."
She knitted together their fabric of time, and created the planet with the blink of an eye. Her Golden Eye, or the Yulirun Eye, watches the elves during the day. Her Silver Eye, the Uthalen Eye, watches them through the night. She gifted them with their own language, the language known as Yulian.

Lady Mei separated the land into four biomes, each fitting for the four elven races. She pondered over how they would adapt, grow, and live. She also questioned if they would become acquaintances.. but the lives of the elves took a dark turn.

the rythelow elves
Rythelow in Yulian translates to wood, and these Wood elves are masters of nature. Within the Rythelow District lies giant oak and birch trees, bright green grass, and hundreds of beautiful and vibrant plants. These elves have the smallest ears, though the pointed curves are always noticeable. They can be rather tall and thin, and all of them are natural born farmers and hunters. They are the weakest of the four races, for they have no skill in fighting other elves.. only wildlife.
the lithalin elves
     The name Lithalin translates to light, meaning they use Lady Mei's Golden Eye for their source of power. They can control light magic to blind enemies and find their way through the night. They are also brilliant in alteration, meaning they understand how to manipulate the world and it's natural properties. This grants them the ability for armor protection and even paralysis spells. These elves have vibrant eye colors and very long, sharp ears. They live in a land filled with clearings and beautiful, yellow flowers and birch trees surrounding said clearings.
the orthrin elves
These elves are also known as the Flame elves, and they are the strongest and.. often most unbearable race. Their land is empty and dry, filled with dead trees and burned plants. Bones lie under rocks and blood has stained the trees and ground. Last, there lies a huge volcano behind the capital that sits just above the water. This volcano was also their blessing from Lady Mei. These elves are normally filled with perseverance and rage, their eyes large and bodies covered in armor nearly twice their size.
the dalishe elves
These elves, known as Dark Elves, show no mercy. Masters of illusion and perceptive thieves, dark elves use the blessing of the Uthalen Eye for their benefits. Their swampy land holds the most water in Meirus, the large trees and rocks covered in moss and vines. Within this land also lies light grey ashes from the Flame elves volcano. With their ears pointed downward and their mischievous dark eyes, they are masters of sneak and illusion. 

first era; time of dawn

The elves were created. Young flesh adapting to their new surroundings like a newborn. Their eyes circled the scenery, and folded the land with their hands.
They divided the land into four biomes and built an economy. They built a home and a family, they never expected how sudden and nimble time was.

second era; time of blood

War began, and it tore through the ground. Disagreement after disagreement, the elements fought for power and some for peace. Fire fought wood and light fought dark, until peace was made. This cold peace was between wood and light, as well as fire and dark. 

third era; present

After the Blood War had ended, peace was restored to Meirus. Elves continued doing their labored work- that's what they all had promised to do.  Considering all elves have a rather small amount of magic power, labor is required to make a living. Until one day, a certain Rythelow elf was born with triple the magic than the normal elf..
