The rest of the day was all a blur, literally a blur I was so unfocused with the day ever since Jason decided I was going to be his "date" for Katie's party.
"So he taking you to the party?" Summer asked questioning me.
Summer was my best friend even when she told me darkest secrets to the evil Jason Goulding.
Summer had long blonde hair and tan skin she got from the tanning salon, with icy blue eyes.
She wore a white and red dress and gold heels.
"Wow look at little Jocelyn moving up on the dating scale." Summer said with a wink.
I pushed her shoulder playfully as we walked to her car.
"It's not funny and your also the one to blame for this!" I said pouting.
"Bitch please!" Summer said unlocking her car doors. "I did you a favor now you got the sexiest man in the school."
Summer had a point Jason was gorgeous, but being gorgeous wasn't all I wanted in a man they had to be loving and kind. Also they could never ever be a bad boy!
"Jocelyn this is your chance to take a ride with evil." Summer said looking at me with a playful expression.
Why did she think this was a good idea I watched the Tattoo Girls documentary where Tayler Mercury talked about her issues with boys in school.
"I'll go if you promise you'll also be there!" I said sternly pointing my finger at her.
"La Duh! Of course I'm coming I have a social life you know." Summer said honking her horn at a guy who cut her off.
I guess I should explain that even though I was a wallflower Summer was not, in a way she reminded me of Jason always looking for trouble maybe I should set him up with her?
"True I guess." I said holding my seat.
Summer was a horrible driver.
"And Here we are casa de Jocelyn." Summer said parking her car in my lawn.
"Yup moms gonna love that." I said in my head.
We walked inside to see my mom cooking pasta while listening to some foreign dude on her tablet teach her Spanish.
"Me llamo Alex, Como Se llama?" My mom said repeating the dude.
"Coming estas senora Rivers" Summer said sarcastically sticking her finger in the pasta sauce.
My mom hit her hand. "Summer that's tomorrows lesson, I'm learning introductions today.
We couldn't help but laugh my mom had these weird quirks where she would try to put her time in doing lessons or projects sometimes it sucked cause she rarely paid attention to me but then again who did?
"Guess what Jocelyn has a date with a boy." Summer said poking my moms boob.
My mom swatted her hand away, and glared at her. "Jocelyn is this true a boy asked you on a date?"
My face turned red. "Somewhat true, it's not technically a date but he's taking me to a party."
I was hoping she'd say I'm not allowed to go to a party and I'd be free from all this mess.
"That's sounds fun!" My mom said grabbing her tablet and restarting the lesson.
"Mom your okay with this?" I asked skeptically.
She nodded her head.
I was taken back, what kind of parent is okay with a stranger taking them to an unknown party? Especially if the stranger was Jason.
"Jocelyn chill lets go pick your outfit for tonight." Summer said with a wink then rolled off my counter, taking an apple from the fruit bowl.
"Have fun dears." My mom said going back to cooking and her lesson.
We walked up to my room and I laid on my bed. I was a nervous wreck as if being a freshman wasn't hard enough. Then comes this!
"What about this?" Summer asked holding a short skimpy black dress that I never thought I owned.
"No, never but you can wear it." I said laying back down.
She smiled and held it against herself.
"Jocelyn stop being a stick in the mud. This is your one chance to break free don't you want to?" Summer asked throwing more dresses at me.
She somewhat had a point but was not about to tell her that she was right. I had always wanted to experience something outrageous well maybe not outrageous but something spectacular and would that be going to a party with Jason?
"Fine." I said getting up from the bed grabbing a pink dress with gray trimming.
Summer let out a laugh. "That's my girl."
I couldn't help but laugh also this was my life. Usually boring with me and Summer talking about doing something crazy, but now we were doing it.
"Okay how do I look." I said doing a spin.
"Sexy yet classy." Summer said clapping her hands.
We walked downstairs to see Jason waiting.
My heart was beating fast. Why was it beating fast did I have a crush on this guy?
"Hey Jocelyn glad to see your going." He said eyeing me up and down.
I blushed. "Um......Thanks."
"Well get going you too" Summer said practicality pushing us out the door.
"Wait I have to see what time my mom wants me home." I yelled.
I immediately regretted saying that. It made me sound like such a prude.
Jason let out a laugh.
"Honey I really don't care what time you come home." My mom said shooing me.
I glared at her. She was definitely not being a good mother if I was her I'd do a background check on Jason and also but a chip in the back of my neck just in case I got kidnapped and they'd know how to find me.
"See Jocelyn no more excuses." Summer said closing the door.
"Hey get out of my house!" I said banging on the door.
I was now alone with Jason. My heart was beating fast again and I was becoming all sweaty.
"So let's get this show on the road." Jason said with excited eyes.
This was it my first ever social life experience with a guy I literally just met today. Wow I had officially become one of those girls.
