Like any other Sunday in the orphanage, today was Adoption Day. I was the oldest girl at the orphanage, besides the Barbies. Who are the Barbies, you might ask?
The bitchest group here, there's Holly, Britney, and Zoey. The leader of the group, Holly Dalton and the bitchest one of them all. Britney Yuen the dumbest and most blonde girl you'll meet. She acts more dumb each time she gets her hair dye blonde, its been dyed so many times - Its bleach! Holly has them, especially Britney, dyed their hair cause she doesn't them being prettier than her. Cause as she puts it, she's "perfect".Britney has perfect snow like skin and green apple eyes, but her hair, it was just....no. Zoey Oxley was a smart girl, she just has made the wrong decisions. She's so worried in fitting in with Holly, she doesn't eat or anything making her look terrible. She's not ugly, her health just isn't good. Bags under her eyes, pale dark skin, so skinny I swear I saw her ribcage one time during PE. She has natural black hair and blue eyes.
Holly tan the most tanned skin, from all the sun tanning she got. Her golden curls were the golden bell in the front lobby, and her eyes were a dull blue grey color but compared to what she's made her "friends" (if you can even call them that) do. Me, other the hand, I had white blonde hair and snow white skin - much like Britney's expect mine is more pale. My eyes were bright blue with hints of yellow, grey and green mixed. I was walking out of the music store from my music lesson. "Remeber to practice, Lavender," says Mrs Ketone, a willow woman with the sweetest personality ever. I babysit her granddaughter, Harley - some times. "I will Mrs Ketone," I say with a smile before turning on my heels and walking. I pull my jacket close as the winds picked up.
On Sundays I always had my music lessons in the morning, right before Adoption Day started at noon. I carried my instrument to the home, I had a case and everything. In my side bag, my song book, sketch book, some pencils, and other things like necessary things like well, pads and shit. My memories of my parents faded so far, I don't remember them at all. Or not that much at least, or my brother, he would be in his late 20's right now. I reach the orphanage as the little ones were let out to play as parents arrived. "Blue!" Little Jade Peters ran to me and into my arms after I set my things down.
"Hey you," I tickle her, she sequels and laughs in my arms. "Did you pass your testy thingy?" She asks, she was smart for a 4 years. Her parents died well her mom did, her dad left before her mom could tell him she was pregnant. "Why yes I did," I smile booping her nose making her giggle. "Yay, you passed!" She cheers making me laugh as I set her down. "Yes, now go play with Gabe and Kia," I say. Her smile widens and she runs off to play "Hide n' Go Seek".
I chuckle to myself before walking inside. "Hello, Lavender," says Miss Hannah. She was a tall woman, with red hair and green eyes. "Hi miss Hannah," I smile. "How dear, go change and hurry, hurry, hurry," she waves me off to my room. I quickly shower and change into something simple. A navy blue skirt, a button up blouse, a headband that matched my shirt, and black flats. I curl my hair and do simple makeup. I walk downstairs with my violin, I play many instruments. And I mean many.
I sit out on the pouch and just played. The music kinda flowed through me, as I played and when I do play, I close my eyes and my imagination comes to me. "That's beautiful," says a voice, I jump suddenly startled and I turn and see a tall man with beautiful hazel blonde hair and green blue eyes. He looks so familiar but I push that aside. "Thank," I say, he too had an accent like mine. "Sorry I didn't mean to scare ya," he says sitting next to me. "No, you didn't scare me..... just startled," I say.
"What was that piece? It's beautiful," he says. "Umm its an original, I made it," I say. "Really? That's fantastic," he says," where are my manners? I'm Joseph Morgan," his cheeky dimple smile shows through making my chuckle before shaking his hand. "Lavender Blues," I say smiling. "Your name sounds like a fairytale," he says. "No one's ever told me that before," I smile. "So what do you do in your free time?" He asks. After that we talked for hours, it was 4 by the time he had to go decide who he wanted to adopted. "It was nice meeting you," I say smiling sadly. "You don't think we'll meet or see each other again," he asks kinda sad.
"Well it's just, other parents they talk to me but once someone says something, they forget about me, so it was nice to feel seen when it lasted," I say before getting up and leaving to my room and wait for the results. The sad thing about my room, I have to share it with the Barbies. Soon they walk in, with Holly in front like always. "Oh look it's the freak, too bad she won't be adopted again," she laughs with the others. "Yea..." they agree. I put on my headphones to drown them out, the anxiety was killing me. The pain in my chest built. I closed my eyes as tears flowed, my breathing becauses heavily and I can't see or think straight.
