"Hey, Finley! Isn't that the chick you used to chill with?"
Finley looked over to where Carlson was pointing at. Suddenly, his eyes locked with shimmering blue eyes, although they both turned away. "She looks familiar, but I forget her name," Finley said, keeping an eye on the girl.
Truly though, Finley remembered who it was.
How could he ever forget?
How could he forget the first time they met,
when his friend threw a football across the
school hallways, and bumped into her?Of course, her, out of all people.
How could he forget when she was on top of him, dumbfounded, at the fact of what just happened.
How could he forget the bookworm on the bus?
The awkward, cute chick he thought he would never see again?
Maybe it was just coincidence, or fate. However you want to call it.
How could he forget the girl he brought over to his home and watched lame movies, and accidentally slept whilst the movie was on.
Finley chuckled at the thought.
Sienna.
It's been a year since he's spoken to her. The last time, they ended in brief.
He stopped seeing her as Sienna avoided him at all cost, and his friends thought she was crazy, or funny. Although, Finley thought she was cute.
He remembered the last time they spoke.
Finley thought about the babbling, of how she loved food and to be real here, Finley also loved food. He found the conversation very amusing.
Sienna suddenly stopped talking to Finley. Whenever Finley tried to make his way up to her at school, Sienna would just walk the other way so she wouldn't have to face him.
Finley was confused ever since then. Was it because he smells? Or maybe it was his face?
Nah, Finley thought. Definitely not my face, I'm assure of that. After a month of the ignoring, Finley decided to also avoid her. He thought it would be the best as no one actually thought something big about the two.
People just thought Sienna was another girl Finley was trying to chase, but couldn't.
To not ruin his reputation, he went on to new girls. He was always out late at night, and partying till he was wasted.
All to get one thing off his mind.
Stupid, Finley thought. Why waste your time on one girl when there's better women out there? You're still young anyways. Well yes, a girl who's actually a decent person. Something that youngsters would probably say these days: "goals."
"She keeps looking at you," Carlson added, looking between the two. "C'mon, let's go before the freak starts to stalk us."
"For sure," Finley replied, walking with Carlson by his side towards his car.
Finley started the engine while Carlson buckled his seatbelt, connecting the aux cord to his phone to put on some tunes.
"When was the last time you even spoke to her?" Carlson questioned curiously, looking away from his phone."It's been a long time to be honest, I don't remember. I actually don't know her name," Finley repeated. Lies. "It's not like I listened to her anyways, how would I know."
Carlson chuckled. "You're actually hilarious."
However, Finley always listened to Sienna.
He remembered the time she asked him "why" when he wanted to know her name, and jokingly called her "Why" to annoy her.
He remembered her giggles whenever she laughed.
He remembered his lame pickup lines she never fell for.
He remembered.
How could he ever forget?
