Drake Bricen stood by the train to hogwarts with his parents saying his good byes, this would be his first year of going to the wizarding school and he was anxious to see what house he'd get. He got onto the train and sat in an empty car and looked out the window, more people started getting on and soon a girl sat in the seat across from him.
"Hey I'm Kaliyah. Who are you?" She asked.
"I'm Drake Bricen."
"So what house are you hoping to get?"
"I don't know... what one do you want?"
"I already know I'm going to be in Slytherin. Everyone in my family has been."
"My mom was a Ravenclaw and my father was a Slytherin." He said waiting for the conversation to end.
"So what pet did you get? I got a cat because they can be smart and are so soft." Kaliyah continued.
"I got an owl like most people."
She kept talking and Drake tried to block her out but it was hard to ignore someone who wouldn't stop talking. The train started moving and he watched the scenery outside, Kaliyah stopped talking and the food cart went by. She got up and came back a minute later with an armful of candy.
"Want some?" She asked.
"No. And with your friendly attitude I highly doubt you'll get Slytherin."
"Hey I work hard to be nice. But I can pick on you and tell you all your faults instead if you'd like."
"Please..." He muttered then got hit in the head with a piece of candy. "Hey!"
"You wanted me to act like a Slytherin."
"Well you're not getting this back."
Drake ate the piece of chocolate to prove his point the continued ignoring her. After a while he saw the school come into view through some mist.
"Hey look the school!"
"Really?" Kaliyah pushed him back a little so she could look out the window and they watched as the castle came into view.
They put their robes on over there clothes and waited for the train to stop. Once it did they walked off the train with all the other students and stopped in front of a large man with a beard that was holding a lanturn.
"All right! My name's Hagrid. Now get into groups of two t' four then sit in a boat until we are all ready to cross."
They got into a boat and they waited while the other students got into boats as well then they started drifting gently across the lake towards the giant castle.
