It’s been a week since Dan last met Phil and they have been doing everything together. Currently, Dan found himself sitting in Phils room as they played Crash Bandicoot together. Or more, Phil played as Dan watched. “Oh no! I died again!” Phil pouted as Dr. Cortex appeared on the screen laughing at him. Phil had died around five times at this point and you could tell he was beginning to get frustrated. “Dan can you do it for me?”

“I don’t know how to play.”

“It’s easy! You use the analog stick to move, x to jump, square to attack and so on.”

Phil explained it as though it was obvious.

“Well clearly it’s not too easy because you keep dying.”

“This boss battle is really hard!”

Phil crossed his arms and pursed his bottom lip out pouting even more. Dan couldn’t fight the smile that appeared on his face. Phil is just so adorable.

“How about we take a tea break then?” Dan suggested. Phil perked up.

“I want coffee instead.”

“Coffee it is then.”

Dan got up to his feet before heading over towards Phil’s kitchen. Dan had been there almost everyday this week and now that it was friday he plans on staying the weekend. Dan would’ve never asked to do such a thing but Phil offered, insisted actually. Dan found his smile still there. He just couldn’t stop smiling over that idiot.

“Hey Dan.” Phil poked his head in. “Do you like anime by chance?”

Dan nodded and Phil beamed like a child.

“Which ones have you seen?”

Dan thought a moment. “I’ve seen Death Note, Fairytail, Food wars..” He trailed off.

“Have you seen inuyasha?”

He shook his head.

“Well our evening plans are sorted. Make popcorn and I’ll go put it in.”

Dan nodded as Phil turned to leave but poked his head in once more.

“Hey, are you alright? You seem quiet.” Phil seemed genuinely concerned.

“Yeah I’m fine. Just tired.” Dan lied.

Phil didn’t respond. He simply left to the living room knowing that Dan had lied but decided to let it go. When Dan returned, struggling to carry two cups of coffee and a big bowl of popcorn he smiled at him softly. Dan set the thing on the table successfully. “I’m gonna go change into my PJs. I’ll be right back.” Phil nodded and watched as Dan ran off, his eyes lingering on Dans ass a moment.

Up in Phil’s room Dan was slipping into his pajamas, catching eyes on himself in the body mirror sitting in the corner. All he had on was some sweatpants, having not grabbed his nightshirt yet so his entire upper half was exposed. He stared at himself disgusted, grabbing at his stomach and sighing when he could actually grab skin. But to Dan it was fat. All fat. He wanted to weigh himself and see the number but at the same time he didn’t. He knew he’d hate what he saw. Last time he checked he weighed around 120. He wanted to at least reach the 100 mark by January. It’s the end of november. He still had time. He sighed and turned his attention to the bruises littered across his body all thanks to his good friends Alex and his gang, the schools main jocks. He looked at his tattered wrists covered in lines over lines of grey and reddish-brown. Those were his own fault. He buried his face in his hands. Why is he like this? Why does everyone hate him? He’s never done anything to them. It’s all because he’s gay. They’d caught him staring down a hunk in the boys locker room one day and jumped on him. They’d been messing with him ever since. Dan squeezed his eyes shut trying not to get emotional. Not right now. Phil is waiting on him. Dan wiped his eyes and turned to slip on his shirt only to find Phil standing in the doorway, looking at him with an unreadable expression. “P-Phil…” Dan trailed off.
