Chapter 23: Beauty, Grace, and a Punch in the Face

Andy's POV

"Alrighty, Andy, we're gonna talk about more marriage plans! Yay!" My mom exclaimed, clapping her hands in excitement. Today is another marriage class day with mom and honestly, I wanna kill myself. I wish I could just tell her that I love a werewolf and that her teachings wouldn't help that much, but for the moment, I can't say anything about (y/n).

"Today, I'm going to teach you about how the marriage itself is supposed to take place. The marriage will take place at the waterfall...that's where your father and I got married." She smiled. "How come I've never seen the marriage grounds before?" I asked.

"It's sacredly only for vampire marriage purposes, nothing else."

"Where do werewolf marriages take place?"

"That would be at the top of the tallest mountain in the land, Mount Black Fury." Mom answered. Mount Black Fury got its name from (y/n)'s pack when their pack name was The Black Furies, but the Werewolf King decided to change the pack name to his last name. The (L/n) pack.

"Enough about the werewolves, back to us. We have marriages at the waterfall located about 4 hours north from here. You will stand at the base of the waterfall with your father and wait for Danielle to come walking to you. You'll be wearing something nice like you always do. Every male vampire will stand by your side while all the females stand on Danielle's side. Once she reaches you, your father will say a few words. When your father takes his seat, you can say a few words as well. Then you will take your fangs and bite your own wrist. When one drinks directly from a royal, they also become a royal. You'll let Danielle drink some of your blood and she'll turn into a royal. After that, you'll both start to fly, while you fly, you kiss. When you're done kissing, you come back down to the ground and we'll celebrate!" She explained. Eeewww, Danielle was going to drink out of me?! GROSS!

You see, if one vampire drinks from another vampire, that blood will taste absolutely disgusting, bitter, and contaminated. Vampire blood is nasty because we are born with impure blood which contains the vampire virus. When we bite someone, the virus is injected into them from our fangs, and they become a vampire...if we let them live. When we suck every drop of blood from someone, they cannot come back to life as a vampire as they have no strength left.

"That's horrible, mom. Who drank who's blood? You or dad?" I asked her.

"I drank from your father. His blood tastes like citric acid, salt, iron, alcohol, and...what else? I'm forgetting something. Oh yea! Gasoline. It was terrible. Worth it though."

"What would happen if a werewolf drank royal blood?"

"Well, son...I really don't know. It's never happened before. Maybe your dad knows."

"I'll ask him later then." I said.

After my little marriage class with mom, I went looking for my dad so he could answer my question if he knew. I found him in the basement looking at The Vampire Handbook.

"Hey, dad, I have a question." I started.

"Yes?"

"What would happen if a werewolf drank royal blood?"

"Uhhh...I'm actually not sure. I don't think that was ever a problem for us. I can look for it in this book..." he started flipping pages. He stopped flipping when a page that read "Vampire and Werewolf Conflict" came up. He scanned the page, then turned the page, and turned again.

"Nope, nothing about it in here. Why would you like to know?" He asked.

"I had class with mom earlier and she said that when a regular vampire drinks from a royal vampire, they become royal as well. I was just wondering if that could happen to werewolves too. Like if a werewolf drank from me, they could become a royal hybrid, but I really don't know. Anything could happen." I explained. My dad's eyes went wide for a split second, but returned to normal. "Y-yes...maybe, but we'll never find out because it'll never happen." He shook his head.
