I feel it all at once. Pain, suffering, confusion. my mind is everywhere and I can't tell what's going on. I feel empty, as if there is nothing left in me.
I finally come to my senses. my eyes still focusing. its dark, very dark. I can only see a small light at the end of the hall.
The smell is horrid. It smells like a home that hasn't been touched but is about to fall apart.
I try touching. I feel something soft but I can run my hand through it. It's like smoke, I can just walk through it, making a path for me as I go.
I start walking. I hear murmurs. I can't make out anything. It's still dark. I feel people all around me but I can't see them. The light is getting dimmer. I'm running towards it.
I'm almost there.
So close I can touch it.
I reach my hand out about to touch it.
It's gone, disappeared.
It's dark now, I can't see anything. There is nothing around me. The pain starts up again. It feels as if I'm struck with glass. My head hurts, I feel dizzy.
My head is feeling light.
My feet feel like they are gone.
Slowly, I start to fade.
I hit the ground, eyes closed.
