Chapter 6: Lockdown

Hey guys so i was able to get my present early (It was Christmas Eve when I started writing this) since i basically always do so i am able to update chapters and i am now on winter break so i can update regularly now and more often since school is not in the way anyways on to the chapter loves :)

Lily's Pov: 

I didn't know what to think. My mom played it out as if he was no one to her, but if he was no one to her why did she sleep with him? She acted as if she was so heartbroken over dad and now she just sleeps with another man and makes it seem like she has no feelings. i'm confused over everything now i don't even wanna look at her but i am forced to see her when i go to eat. I walked downstairs and got prepared to completely ignore my mom. "Hey honey!" She said handing me a glass of orange juice and some fried eggs and bacon. "Hi.." I reply showing some disgust in my tone, she sees to my disgust and says, "You're still mad?" "Of course I'm still mad! Give me a reason not to be, you act like your so sad over dad then i come home from my first day of school to find you sleeping with another man!" I yell. "Are you calling me a whore or something? You know I'm allowed to date i don't need your approval to who i wanna be with, do you wanna see me happy or miserable?" She says. "Of course i want you to be happy but i don't want to walk in on you and some stranger having sex! And i wanna be able to meet the guy first!" I say as we hear a horn just in time for me to get on the bus. "We will continue this talk when you get home, have a good day at school." My mom says as i walk to the bus and take my seat next to Nicole and Isa.

"Hey guys." I say kind of tearing up. They both reply hey to me. "Whats wrong Lily?" Nicole asks, Isa soon notices as well and asks me the same question. I wanted them to know but i was scared if i said it i would have to explain everything with my parents situation, and then what my mom did, but i didn't care i needed to tell someone. I explained everything to them and basically told them everything they needed to know about me and they were shocked to hear what i had to say with my situation. "Wow thats... thats something alright.." Isa said in her lame attempt at  trying to make me feel better. "Are you doing okay?" Nicole asked with concern. "Yeah i guess, my mom and I are kind of on the outs right now and we aren't talking. I don't even know what to say to her?" I reply. "Well what you have to do it just try to work it out with your mom when you get home. Talk to her and tell her how you feel, I'm sure she'll listen to you." Nicole said. "You're right I'll talk to her, i'd hate to have beef with my own mom." "Ok well lets stop talking about that and lets think about the dance coming up!" Isa said. "Oh yeah i forgot about that its this Friday, why do they have the dance so early in the year i mean usually they have them later on in the year, whats the rush?" I ask. "Well they have it early in the year and late in the year to welcome the new kids and to say goodbye at the end of the year, its a weird setup." Isa answered back. "Oh I see, i'll ask my mom if i can go, and your mom is gonna pick us up right?" I ask. "Yeah if your mom says yes then you can go with me and my mom." Isa says, as the bus comes to a screeching halt. "Well we're here lets go." I say as all three of us exit the bus.

The minute we exited the bus all you could hear were screams coming from every side of the school. The principal was telling everyone to calm down and go back in because we had to hide, the minute he said that everyone ran back in the school. "Whats going on?" I ask Isa and Nicole as we walk to the principal to ask him whats happening. "Whats happening?" I ask. "There is a shooting that we heard that came from a few miles away, we checked our local news sources and it looks like the shooter is coming to us. Its a routine plan, to get back inside and take cover." He said to me. "Well why don't we evacuate wouldn't that be smarter." I ask. "No in fact that would be suicide practically. The minute you try to walk away if the shooter sees you and recognizes your a student your as good as dead, now you three girls need to go inside now!" He says. "Yes sir." We all say in unison. 

We rush inside the school and are instructed by staff members to go with them. We follow a staff member with blonde hair, she had the face and body as if she could be a student here herself. She opens the door. Inside the room are several students, some boys some girls and some other staff members. "Ok, guys i know this must be scary for you guys so just relax stay calm and keep quiet in this room and you won't be harmed. We are already on lockdown so there is no way of anymore getting in the school without a key. My name is Ms. Gomez, i will be the staff member helping you guys today." I scan the room to see any sign of anyone i might know I see a familiar face, Mason!
