12:39am

A sense of solitude and loneliness echoed through the room of the cafe while hoseok cleaned the counter with boredom and sleepiness painted across his face.

It was a typical Tuesday night, hoseok owned a small cafe in the sleepy, small streets of Seoul. And as always, whether it was during the day or during the night, the cafe would always be quiet. Customers would pop in from time to time but it was rare, almost impossible, to see one at this time of night.

Taehyung was rambling on about something that him and jungkook did over the weekend.
"-and it was so funny! He literally chased me but then we made up of course, and cuddled together" taehyung explained. He was always so hyper when he talked about jungkook it's like they were a couple but they had some complications in their relationship/friendship. Something about jimin, honestly, hoseok couldn't remember the exact details. Taehyung and jungkook were always on and off, their relationship was always so complicated.
Something about them being fuck buddies but also best friends and having feelings for each other but jungkook having feelings for jimin. It was all very confusing. Just a massive, confusing love triangle.

"anyways hyung, I finished cleaning up the kitchen, need me to do anything else?" Taehyung asked, peeping his head through the door.

Taehyung was a friend of hoseok's and a co-worker. He was like his younger brother, always happy and cheerful. Taehyung was in need of money since his idol career didn't really work out so he now worked two part-time jobs, one in the cafe with hoseok and the other as a singer in a restaurant in somewhere in downtown Seoul.

"No, that's all for today. We've only got around 20 minutes before we close up, why don't you go home early today, I doubt anyone's gonna come in at this of night anyways" hoseok said giving taehyung a light smile.

"Ahh, thank you hyung!" taehyung cheered, giving hoseok a light hug while skipping outside.

Another 10 minutes passed, but to hoseok they felt like eternity. He tilted his head up to look at the clock
12:49
He let out a long sigh. 11 more minutes hoseok, then you can close up and go home.

Hoseok felt so tired. His eyes were just aching to close, his body was screaming to go into a bed and just sleep. But this sensation was nothing new to him. His cafe always closed up at 1 o'clock am, sometimes 2 o'clock.

A bell rang, signalling that someone just entered the cafe, startling hoseok. He rushed up from his chair, getting ready to greet the customer without hinting his sleep-deprived state.
A rich looking man entered, with a somewhat mysterious aurora around him. Maybe it was because he just entered this part of Seoul dressed up in a black business suit or maybe because hoseok was actually shocked that someone came into his cafe at this time of night or maybe because hoseok was just tired and was imagining things.

"Welcome, what can I get you?" hoseok said in a polite manner

"Just one large coffee please" the man said. His voice so deep and husky

"Of course, that'll be $3.99" hoseok replied making his way into the kitchen.

A few short moments later, hoseok returned with a large cup of coffee in his hand, beautifully decorated with a leaf made out of foam, sprinkled with cocoa powder, and placed it on the counter where the man was sitting.

"Ah thank you-" the man glanced at hoseok's chest to read the name tag
"-hoseok"

"No problem" hoseok smiled his usual bright smile as he returned back to the kitchen to clean up anything that needed to be cleaned.

Hoseok was only gone for one minute or so and when he turned, the man had gone, the coffee was untouched and the room was back to its normal, dim, lonely state.

Wha.. where did he go? He didn't even pay for the dri- oh.

On the counter, where the man was sitting, there was $5 dollar bill folded to make a beautiful paper heart.
