A storm brewed as two figures stood in the rain.

"

Aomine-kun, let's go back to practice" Kuroko said as Aomine sat on the grass
"Why should I? For what purpose do I need to practice" he stood up "You realize I already win even if I don't want to? You want me to crush down my opponents that lost the will to fight even further?"
"I understand how you feel, but..."
"Understand? Hah!" he faced Kuroko
"What part of it do you understand? Tell me!" he clenched his fists
"How can anyone who can't do anything by himself understand this?" Kuroko looked down
"There are times that even I get jealous of everyone, including you, Aomine-kun" he raised his head and looked Aomine in the eyes
"It's useless to feel grief over the impossible! That's why, so that I can pass with all my strength-" "And who is that pass for" he cut him off mid-sentence
"You realize I can win against anyone by myself now, even without your passes"
"The only one who can beat me is me" both recalled Aomine's words as a shocked expression was on Kuroko's face
"From that day, I haven't gotten a pass from you. It was so recent, but it feels like the distant past already" his left eye began to twitch
"I've.....already forgotten even how to receive your passes" Kuroko tried to hold back his tears as his eyes widened and his face contorted into the most painful expression that he could muster.

Meanwhile...
(F/N) Akashi stood at the gym entrance watching the droplets fall from the sky. She watched a teal haired boy enter the gym with tears streaming down his face. Her brother, the captain was inside.
"(F/N) you should stop stalking my brother though" she turned to see a black haired girl with baby blue eyes.
"Migami, what happened?"
"Akashi-kun defeated Murasakibara-kun in a one on one...he changed" she stated glumly.
"And with Kuroko-kun?"
"Aomine-kun"

Meanwhile inside the gym...
Both teenagers stood, the captain of Teiko's basketball team/ Generation of Miracles and the Phantom Sixth Man.
"Looks like it was no good" Akashi said handing Kuroko a towel
"Right" Kuroko replied solemnly
"Then, there's nothing we can do. You should just give up on Aomine" the boy was shocked, he could only stare at his captain
"A plate can never be fully restored once it has a crack. But if it is still usable, what we have now will suffice."
"Akashi....kun?" Kuroko stuttered
"What are you talking about" he asked but then added his face stricken with shock.
"No...Who are you?" to his surprise Akashi had a rather disturbing smile on his face
"Of course, I'm Seijuro Akashi......Tetsuya" he was even more shocked. Never had he heared Akashi call him by his first name. He exited the gym and saw the two girls by the doors.
"Migami I just need to change then we can go home" he went towards the locker rooms. Soon enough Akashi exited the gym as well.
"(F/N) we're going home now" his call seemed more like an order. (F/N) took one last glance at Migami who gave her a sad, longing smile.

On the way home...
With the Akashi siblings...
"Seijuro-nii, what happened to you and Migami?" her brother had a passive look on his face.
"Nothing of importance. She is useless to my future triumphs, she's only an annoying distraction" (F/N) gazed at her brother then towards the scenery beyond their vehicle's window. It was raining. Kuroko's tear-stained expression came to mind. His sister answered that it was Aomine but she knew it wasn't only the tanned ace player's doing. She caught a glimpse of his expression when he exited the gym after talking to her older brother; shock, terror, and grief was visible on the features of the boy who was almost emotionless.
'I want to help Kuroko-kun, he's my best friend's brother...he's my friend...maybe even more than that. So if he is in darkness I will be his guiding light'.
