I got out of my seat. I looked around the classroom and all the students were still sitting. Everybody looked dead. They were all lifeless, frozen in time.

I looked at my paper, there was nothing on it, how? I just wrote 2 full pages. I scampered around until I finally went into the hallway.

It was dark and reeked of a foul stench. the lockers were rusted, the water fountains leaky. I walked down the stained linoleum floor.

Something was wrong here, very wrong.

I made it further down the hallway to notice the big window at the end was broken, glass shard everywhere. I turned to my right to go down the stairwell.

The hall lights flickered on and off as I walked past them and water trickled from the bathroom sinks. The walls were moldy, covered in black and green residue, like the janitor hasn't been here in months. No one has been here in months.

I look into classrooms as I make my way further down each winding hallway. Some students are there, lifeless, while some classrooms are empty with only the squeak of mice scattering around the floor.

I need to get out of here, I start to tell myself in my head. I finally get to the main entrance and the doors are boarded shut. " What is going on here " I whisper to myself.

I run to the fire exit and try ramming it open with all my force, nothing, it wouldn't budge. Then I figured it out.

I ran back up the two flights of stairs to the broken window. I had no choice. A two story jump, would I make it? without hesitation, I jumped, rushing toward the dead grass at the bottom.
