Chapter 14

Niall's POV:

I opened my eyes to Carrie's face a few inches from mine. She was still asleep and tucked away safely in my arms.

I smiled and watched her peaceful sleeping. She was so cute. I picked up my iPhone and checked the time all without disturbing her. It was 9:30 am. I put my arm back over her small figure and snuggled close to her. I know, I'm acting like a total sap but I couldn't help it. Carrie brought out a side of me that wanted to protect and be gentle with her. Her eyes fluttered open after a few minutes and smiled when her amazing blue eyes met mine. Her eyelashes were really long if you looked up close. She leaned forward until her nose was touching mine. I smiled wide and kissed her lips gently.

"Good morning beautiful." I whispered in her ear.

She blushed and tried to cover it up with her hands.

"Good morning Ni." She smiled, burying her sleepy face in my chest.

Man I loved it when she did that. It makes me feel like she trusts me enough to protect her, which I will.

Suddenly, the door swung open and Kayli walked through, catching us in our embrace. Carrie tensed and her head shot up. She stared at Kayli in shock.

"It's okay. I already know." Kayli whispered, smiling.

"How?" I asked.

"I know my best friend, and she is definitely happier. Oh and I saw you two cozying up on the porch swing last night." She chuckled quietly.

"What about the boys?" Carrie questioned.

"I'm sure they are clueless. They're all passed out on the floor." She laughed, kicking who I assumed to be Lou.

"Ow!" He whined.

I reluctantly peeled away from Carrie and leaned against the frame of the futon.

Carrie slid down the pillow with a huff.

I don't know how long I can keep us a secret.

Carrie's POV:

I don't know how much longer I can keep this a secret! I think I'm gonna take matters into my own hands. And I am gonna do it now.

I sat back up and pulled Niall's hand to get him to scoot closer to me. He looked confused at first but the look was quickly replaced by an excited smile.

He got next to me and I snuggled into his chest. He wrapped his arms around me and we waited for the boys to get up and see us.

Kayli nodded and gave us a thumbs up, happy for my decision in letting them know.

Lou sat and stood up eventually, yawning and stretching. Once he recovered from his yawn, he looked around with his eyes halfway opened. His eyes traveled to me and Niall and then over to Kayli. Suddenly his eyes widened and he jerked his head back toward us. His shocked face turned into a sly grin.

"I KNEW IT." He shouted, waking everyone else up in the process.

My cheeks were getting red, but I didn't care. For once in my life, I didn't mind the attention on me because I wanted them to know I was with Niall. And I was confident. Harry eventually sat up and stared at us wide eyed.

"Niall?! You're cheating on me?" He joked, grabbing his heart for dramatic affect.

"Shut up Styles." I laughed.

"Good job bro!" Liam grinned, giving Niall a thumbs up.

We waited for Zayn to get up, but it never happened.
